compressors can be designed to let in a certain millisecond amount of the attack pass through before compressing the signal, to retain more of the sound character, but other guitar compressor pedals i have dont have any 'pop' on clean sounds.
is it when hitting hard chords?

my girl has and is good at the mandolin
ive wanted to hook that through my board so bad

For now, just the phonic (on the right) + sm57. It was my first live setup since I didn't had time to buy a good Piezo mic, I'm still playing like that. But I'll definitely buy a piezo.
