humancertainty used to have one and it was rad. i don't think he reads this forum much any more, but maybe he'll chime in.
those of you who are stoked on the vtm 120 in bst should really be excited about this and it's $100 cheaper. i think it's a cooler and more interesting amp, although i do love the vtm.

thats the upper end of what I would pay for that head. Known for being durable, although eventually I would think some caps and shit will need replaced. Decent, not amazing sound.

Thanks dudes. I might shoot him an offer if it is up for a while. I don't have a bass cab at the moment anyway, so it would be just to have.

those legends are bright as fuck and those cabs are wired fucking stupid. 3 16 ohm speakers daisy chained for an end load of 5.somethingohms.
pull garbage legends out and toss in 2 16ohm 12s and 1 8ohm 15.
if the 12s are -3 DB from the 15s the end load will be 4ohms with the 12s and 15 at the same sensivity while the 15 is receiving 2x the wattage. someone correct me if im wrong im running on less then 10 hours of sleep in the last 72 hours. . .

You are almost right.....
So I'm thinking of eventually replacing the speakers with Emi Delta's 1 15b (100db sensitivity) and 2 12a's (98db sensitivity) in typical series / parallel wiring but..
its two 8 ohm 12's and a 16ohm 15 needed
Series the two 12's for an 16 ohm load then parallel off that the 15 for a total of 8 ohms.
It would be a 1200w 48hz-5khz cab. Should be good for a single cab in small venues.
Or I might go with WGS speakers to be a lil cheaper....

The wattages wouldn't be ideal but it would work (2 30w 12's and one 75w 15) or I could just replace the 12's with 8 ohm Celestion V30's like the high end version of this cab and call it a day.... theres alot of choices. What's funny is I can't find a 16ohm Legend 15 listed anywhere I wonder if they were special orders just for Randall. Also where did you get your info for this cab?

Ahhhhhhhh just did my research and see what your saying with the two 16ohms and one 8 ohm..... that actually makes my life easier!!!!!
Hmmmmmm I just need to find the wattage of those legends so I can pick the right 15.... and 8 ohms for the 15 opens up way more possibilities.....
So if the Legend 15 is 16 ohms it looks like it has to be one of the discontinued 16ohm versions of the 151.... so if I just replace it with a 1518 and rewire it for 16ohms I should be good to go right?
Looks like almost all the 16ohm legends are discontinued.. I'm just confused as to which ones they use as the cab is rated 240w and the lowest wattage 12's (GB1216) were 50w and the legend 151 is 150w which would make the can 250w.... Nothing adds up cause the other legend 12's are 120w and theres no other legend 15 guitar speakers I can find.... guh I guess I need to email randall....

Well that was quick.....
"Hello,
Thanks for your request. The last build notes for that item show it had a 100w Eminence Legend 151 in it for a 15in speaker and it looks like a Legend 1258 for the 12in speakers
Thanks
Randall Amplifiers"
Looks like a newer 1518 (150w 103db) is a perfect match to make it into a 16ohm cab. The 1258's may be bright but considering I use very dark amps, it might not be a bad thing.

Oh you had one? How was it with stock speakers? Was it as loud as the sensitivity of the stock speakers would lead me to believe? It looks like the construction is solid as hell as its a straight birch ply cab.
