MASS HYSSTTTERRIIAA. Oh you guys.
So here's the deal with that Wal... and yes I got one last rendezvous and make-out session before my friend packed it up and shipped it out.
My buddy bought that on ebay about 2 years ago. A few weeks ago he decided to put it up for sale since he also has a Wal MKII 5 string. As a goof he decided to list it at 10K just to see if anyone was seriously interested in it. Much to his surprise, someone bought it. (It wound up being some music store)
Anyway, my buddy is then contacted by ebay fraud and a slew of other people only to find out the original owner had been searching for his bass for the last 5 years. My buddy has all the documentation and proof that he bought it legit and decided to do the right thing and send it back to the original owner. He was reimbursed what he paid for it.
Ebay is now going after the original seller my friend bought it from to get the money. There were a few posts about all this shit in the Wal thread on TB.
So yeah... I slung it low and ran through every Chancellor song I knew before we packed it up and sent it off to end this poor dudes 5 year search for his baby.
I will miss it.
I can always pick up his MKII 5'er when the urge hits....but ya know..... dats gay.
