I'm on my third day after the op now and am doing better than yesterday.
All the bruising and swelling decided to show up yesterday morning. Shit was way more painful than straight after the cut.
So I thought I'd better take the day off work today, which turned out to be a good move, as not only do I need just a little more rest (things are much better today, though), but I managed to intercept the Black Country Treble Booster my wife doesn't know about while she was out dropping my son off to school.

Particularly when every fucking knot was buried under skin that had puffed up around it.
Not entirely sure the cuts are 100% healed, but I didn't split and bleed everywhere, so I'm guessing it's ok.

Also, what kind of jackass doctor would use stitches you have to take out when there are ones that dissolve on their own now??

That's a good question, no reason for removable stitches.

We have different methods to you guys down here.
I got knots in both ends which I know you guys don't usually do. There are internal dissolvables, but to keep the skin together on the outside he used a stronger stitch.
The black is just bruising. I bruise like a bitch.

Well, my doctor said that basically leaving an end open can cause sperm to leak into the surrounding tissue, which is much not good, so they double tie.
Actually since taking the big stitches out last night I feel a fuckload better. Much more comfortable.
And my bruising is already starting to look less bad.
