i Love that last pic you posted Ryan!! Lookin' Good!
My Status sounds so freaking sweet. Awesome. No other bass compares to it's clean tone. I use the Box at the front of my chain to tame it with pedals....but when it's disengaged it is full on.goroth wrote:What's the point of an 18v bass? and whats the point of 18v if you're going to use a buffer to bring the voltage swing down to normal levels?
I don't understand basses

Let's go for it! *smile*K-Man wrote:I like my 18V preamp. It I can dial in about 15db of boost to my sound if needed. You know to compete with loud a guitarist (haha). Most effects work fine with the my bass. Just sometimes the signal can distort the effect. Ryan has been really cool with the couple of questions I have asked regarding my bass. The bitquest is calling.
Thanks Josh!Sparrow wrote:i Love that last pic you posted Ryan!! Lookin' Good!
Sorry Marc! Picture this though... a purple LED, 6 purple small knobs, 1 purple big knob... that's a lot of purple hey!sonidero wrote:All the Purple are gone... :(
Booyeah Franz! Right on! You defeated the customs boss and claimed your reward... first BitQuest! Hope you dig it, have some fun with it and let us know what you think!breitnersn wrote::!!!: :!!!: :!!!:
It's there! Excellent color choices, Ryan. Thanks. Can't wait to start rainbowquesting!
It is! Just waiting on Loann's choice and then you're up, Tom, probably be checking in with you later today about it!Tompski wrote:must be me to choose real soon....
I've been forgetting to offer people knob choices but if folks don't want the shiny metal knobs there's plastic knobs as an option, rainbow or solid, I'm easy. You want a rainbow, Greigy?goroth wrote:Wow, that looks unbelievable Franz!!
Just a heads up, you can buy those knobbies from a number of vendors for $not too much$Ryan wrote:Thanks Kent!
Now guys, the rainbow knobs was just a fluke that Franz asked for.. I don't stock any of those knobs and didn't plan for this, so I have maybe a handful each of those coloured knobs. I'll do who I can but otherwise get into the metal knobs! *smile*
Thanks Ryan but nah, I think metal will rule.Ryan wrote:I've been forgetting to offer people knob choices but if folks don't want the shiny metal knobs there's plastic knobs as an option, rainbow or solid, I'm easy. You want a rainbow, Greigy?
Haha it sounds really weird clicking through the patches, totally fun thing to do.goroth wrote: You know what I'm looking forward to? Dialling in a cool sound then choosing a new patch and seeing what it sounds like.
Don't you worry, Kent, everybody who's asked for rainbow knobs is gonna get them! I can still do a few sets more if anybody else wants that, let me know.K-Man wrote:Hi Ryan,
If you can do the coloured knobs great. If not, no big deal. They were just a little more the icing on the cake. I do not believe that the knob colour will affect the tone (although I am sure someone in some forum will disagree). I am obviously somewhere down the list, compared to most on this forum, but looking forward to the BitQuest when it is done.
