Anyone had success using the tap jack as an output to control other pedals? I had a bit of an epiphany when I realized I could (possibly) give my Randy's Revenge tap tempo functionality via Vinyl*. I've already shot a question to Fairfield about it. I'll need to order a short TRS cable...

*which would be UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME :success:

I think the tap jack is an input not an output, to do the kind of stuff you want you probably need a Goatkeeper or Broadcast or something...

The tap jack on the Warped Vinyl can be used as input *OR* output.

However, I looked at the Randy's Revenge and it looks like their jack serves the same function as my "EXP" jack, in that it accepts an expression input or CV (not tap)... It doesn't appear that you can set the LFO with tap on a Randy's Revenge.

I'm putting together another with Darkglass goodness, exp pedal, the works.

DOOOOOOOOD. Posting this to my facebook now. I've been waiting for a demo like this, that shows how fun some messing with the dip settings is. Lots of the demos explain a bit how they work, but don't show it. I love the little pics you put in that shows the dip settings for what you are doing.

Also shows how the mix knob can work like a tone control, most obvious with full spectrum frequency stuff (i.e. fuzz) coming through.

Thanks for making this. I appreciate it very much. :thumb: :omg: :thumb:

Clearly I have an unhealthy relationship with this cloud shitting/diarrhea rainbows icon. But seriously, that's awesome!

I've run a trs from the tap out/in on the warped vinyl to the tap out/in on the deluxe memory man tap tempo with great results. I can use the tap switch on either pedal to control tempo for both. Synching the two along with fooling around with the delay subdivisions is a lot of fun. I always wanted to be able to do that with my flint and the dmm but it didn't work.

Me too. Synchronising tremolo and delay is heavenly.

:!!!: damn i want this pedal, but so expensive. haha. being a knob tweaker this sounds like a blast. nice work!!

It has tap input or output I read - does the tap still change the output if it is in bypass mode? I could probably sync this up to the tap input of my tremolo even if the WV isn't in use if that were the case!

I hear you man, I really wish it wasn't so expensive. When I started working on it... if someone told me it would retail for $349.99 I would have laughed (I hate expensive pedals)... but after all was said and done and I looked at the high cost of manufacturing it... unfortunately it has to be at that price point.

The tap jack works as a tap input or output, and yes, still works in bypass mode. So yes, you could use it to control an external tap tremolo. It's a NO (normally open) momentary switch... this seems to be what most all manufacturers are doing these days so it's compatible with a lot of stuff. I believe BOSS pedals are still NC (normally closed) though.

Is this pedal still limited to 60 pedals? or is there more coming out now?

I HIGHLY doubt these are limited to only 60. Surely they've sold waaaaay over 60 by now. I see them crop up everywhere.
