The Elements has arrived all safe and sound. What a great post Christmas present to enjoy for a few days :!!!:

I probably won't have time to play through it until tomorrow, but I will definitely post with my impressions. And maybe even some sloppy clips if the mood strikes!

Okay - thoughts on The Elements after spending a bit of time with it yesterday afternoon. Holy. Balls. :!!!:

This thing blew all expectations completely out of the water. It is amazing. I originally got on the list because I wanted to try out it's boosting capabilities since I'm an amp dirt person...plus I want to try out all of Ryan's pedals.

I liked it the most as a high gain brootz machine with the clipping in the middle, the bass toggle in the top position, and the mid toggle in the bottom position. I also found a really useful fuzz setting that was really, really close to how I have my Musket set up. Mostly I was just amazed at the sheer versatility of this thing.

It can sound about like my amp, about like my amp being boosted, like my Musket, and I can use it as a boost to cop the same tones that my LTD and Mastortion get me when boosting.

If I was in the market for an all around dirt pedal - this would be it. I could seriously get by with like 3 Elements and a clean amp for 90% of my dirt needs. And I never thought I would/could be a clean amp/pedal dirt person.

I will spend another day or so with it and try and have it off to the next person by Saturday :animal:

The Elements will legitimize a clean amp setup like no other distortion pedal I've ever encountered!

Awesome, Trey! I was hoping you were gonna like it! I'm glad you liked it as a clean amp kinda pedal, that's my favourite way to set up a rig and I guess how I intend the Elements and Frazz to be used. I like that you didn't think you'd ever like that setup but maybe now you do, I used to be the same way.

*high five Shannon!*

Indeed. You've made a great dirt box :animal:

In fact, I have been eyeing a Bassman for sale locally that I may pick up and run with assorted flavors of dirt - mostly fuzz of course, but the Elements would surely have a place on that board.

Yeah! A Bassman and dirt pedals owns, that's a killer setup!

Sorry I still don't have the mini-RRR out yet to Tuffbud, I will soon!

The hype is well deserved and I will be yelling about it as loudly as possible whenever I have the chance. Even a lot of the guys in the Doom Room (giant thread that several of us hang out in) really dig it for their variety of heavy music.

I love hearing that.. I'm always going for counter-culture guitar tones with the Elements and Frazz. I love the really unique guitar tones that most heavy bands have, that stuff is always my inspiration.

Well there's some reaction going on there for sure, but I still want to experiment around some more to get the full results. I might end up going mad from the versatility though.

Seriously, this thing is super rad. Hope the next one on the list will enjoy it just as much!
