It's a Hollow Earth by Sonic Crayon. I think it's version 3. Here's a vid of a previous version. From what I understand it's essentially the same beast, but I really couldn't say...

Here's his website

He's just weird about selling stuff, so all his stuff is basically unobtainium.

Wow and congrats on getting one

He must have some personal life reason for not going into production, cause that's a sick pedal. I also get the feeling that video was only showing a portion of the possibilities. Kinda brings to mind a beautiful cross between a cloudbuster and gatekeeper. Thanks for the links, i'm off to check him out. All the best and enjoy

i was just scrolling through his blog and his shit looks boss. i see lots of pcb's, whats the story on selling? Does he deal with musician friends first or....do you need to know someone who knows someone? He's got some very interesting designs for sure.

I don't know *sad sigh* The guy used to be a regular on here and he'd post about his stuff. I think a lot of it is he makes the stuff for his own personal use and he shares it online because he's proud of it (and rightly so

). I'd love to try more of his stuff
I kinda think he got buried by preorders when he started out, became overwhelmed because the builds were super complicated, and switched to selling sporadic batches to make things less stressful. It's obviously a hobby for him, and I wouldn't want a builder to build stuff if they didn't have their heart in it

That's what I was thinking too, with my limited knowledge of the situation. He probably has a job and family and etc. and ALOT of people that are willing to buy his pedals.
Is that extra 1/4" input on the v3 for an expression pedal or....cv? can't tell if your's has the extra jack or not but cv would be over the top

yeah. from what i understand the building is akin to a hobby, he's just REALLY FUCKING GOOD AT IT. long r&d and other life busy'ing things = small sporadic runs.
if you sign up on his newsletter he sends out a Come Get 'Em email, super small batch like 5 go in about 3 minutes.
i'm not talking poo and it's bidness, roll how you want. i just hate that it's so hard to get such neat looking gear.

I'm not sure what expression inputs it has, but I know it has an LFO out on it that'll work with CV and expression inputs

So, you can create your own crazy waveshape and use that to modulate the expression-in parameters on any other pedal

I think this would literally be the best thing in the world when paired with an expressionator!
I'll do a full write-up on what it can do after I've spent enough time with it to know how it all works. Yeah this last batch sold out in under a minute

I just barely managed to snag the last one

I spent $300 so...

for the feature set and the work he puts into the finish it seems well with the ticket price!

If I remember correctly he is a programmer who works with video games, think he posted about how he worked on Far Cry 3 a while back. I know at one point he was considering switching to building full time but wanted to take it slow and make sure he could do it in a sustainable manner. Working as a programmer for major video games and building these complex beasts has to take a toll so I'm not surprised they are released quite sporadically. Hoping someday he can find a good way to pursue the pedal building full time if that's what he wants.
