lol. we're done Tuesday night, going to NAMM Friday night, need them up by then. sooooooo.... Wednesday? Thursday?
fuck ME today/tonight was fun. got Paul's 2 tracks done, 6 of 9 bass thangers done..... but on the last one we were trying to get some more interactive feedback and Massy was jumping around all excited and set up a little Pignose then an I Don't Remember What Brand combo to split off into.... fucking awesome. ended up going with my Mecha stacked into the B3k into the Depth Charger.... skrullging mdhHnhhhj NDHHDHEHJJjhhdhdgHHHHH.
hee. and at one point she was yelling at me (with a smile on her face) to move my ass more in front of the combo and 'cause i'm shy and too sloppy to come off the fretboard and get in time she.... she stabbed me. with the paintbrush she was working on a canvas with while we were recording.

also,
01) shit. sounds. fucking. AMAZING.
02) hee. Ms. Massy was saying "let's try the Big Muff!" and i kinda grimaced at first but started to hook it up then diffidently explained that "if it's something you really think is the best option, i'll try it. buuuuuuut.... i have... sort if philosophical.... issues with Electro-Harmonix.".
she made an interested face, i explained how i sort of hate the company and i've talked so much shit about them that it makes me feel dirty and hypocritical to use a Muff...... and she said, "well fuck it. LET'S TRY THIS FUZZ FACE.".
i...... i adore her.

That clip does sound really good though Behn.
To all of you expensive bass breaux, I can't wait to join your league some day. I'm super comfortable with my Warwick Thumb5, but much like Jwar I just lust to dabble with every possible morsel available.

Granted, it's the older version but still sounds incredible. He had the angelbaby listed separately (stupid I know) which already sold.

A black one went for $800 late last year, kinda kicking myself for not jumping on it. But, whatever. I'm on the list for a new one, and I'd rather give Ed the money anyhow, because his customer service rocks. I was pretty shocked that I spent $450 on a Halophaze (hooray for sales tax!), but god dammit if that sumbitch isn't the absolute BOOBS in a band mix. So fucking good.
I now have a Vault as well and at home I really wasn't impressed, and then in my prog/metal band it was a little disappointing, but finally in my doom/thing holy SHIT that thing doth rule. It broke stuff in our practice garage, making my guitarist very happy. It loved to happen.
In other bassfuzznews, I got a new Depth Charge last week, and, throwing caution to the wind by trying it on a gig before dicking around with it at practice, all I can say is:

Finally a fuzz that rules as much as a Malekko B:Assmaster. Very, very impressed with that thing. I had one years ago but sold it before using it at rehearsal, which was a stupid, stupid thing. I compared it to my Attack Goat at the time, and since they sounded similar enough, combined with the Goat never quite "doing" it for me in a full band context, I ditched it. Looking back, I now see the error of my ways.
I'm pretty much replying to several pages ago, but I do that frequently, so steady as she goes, as it were.

I agree with the sentiment, but I think the mockery of sports stems from the fact that there are dozens of channels of tv dedicated to them. Few other passions command that sort of media presence. Like I can't go to any restaurant/bar/public place with a tv and not see sports or people talking about sports.
Because sports are rooted in community and often enhance a geographic affiliation.
I dislike the type A/super sporty mentality as much as the next person, but shit like that oatmeal comic is best left for, you know, people who're actually 14 and think they're smarter than everyone else, rather than adults who just act like they're 14.
