I just didn't think the Mobius was worth the cost. My favorite effect on it was the Phaser. Totally not worth it for just the phaser. I felt the same way about the Timeline though.

Yea but I was strictly going for a phaser, that'd be different. It just felt like overkill. To each their own though! I spent over 300 on an OD. lol

Yeah I agree, but I don't know.. I kind'a totally ignore all multi-fx units because they don't interest me very much :idk: so I am not the best person to say if they are worth it or not.. so yeah each to their own..

I didn't dig the Mobius either and found the bit crusher on it rather unusable. It just didn't sound good to me. I've never found a bit crusher I like though. They all kind of sound like poop.

I'm diggin that Source Audio set up. I've been considering going a similar route lately.

Not to say that Fodera's are anything less amazing but they have a cult like following and are near impossible to get, as soon as a "real" Fodera comes on a BST its almost gone the next day unless they are asking 10k or more.

Same thing with a Carl Thompson. Though seeing as you have really expensive tastes in basses you might want to put a Hilton on that list. Pete Hilton has been the primary builder for carl for a while and from what I have read does amazing things with wood.

I had a Mike Browne for about a month, who was also a luthier for Thompson. That's probably the worst flip I've done. Totally should not have gotten rid of that bass. I'll never see one like it again because he only made around 20 basses.

My biggest bass gas at the moment is a Roscoe Burl Top. Still want one BAD.

I do have expensive bass taste, but I love all the classic shit too! My Jackson 5 is still my lover. LOL. I'd love to get another Stringray at some point too. Miss the shit out of the Stingray tone!!!

I totally agree about Fodera's and the price. The 3 Fodera's I've gotten a chance to play have been nothing short of amazing but NOT 10K amazing or even close to that.
They are spectacular instruments. I don't think I'd get one even if I had the extra scratch for fear of fucking it up and then.... well, that takes the joy out of it.

On the other hand I did have a chance to play a Carl Thompson way back at Rudy's in the city and I wasn't impressed. Did not live up to the hype at ALL.

Someone should keep a serious watch on this Echoczar. Second time it's been listed and I've never seen a polished version go for this low of a price.

Granted, it's the older version but still sounds incredible. He had the angelbaby listed separately (stupid I know) which already sold.

Ugh those Hiltons are nice!

Not real sure of the aesthetics though. I dig the Fodera because it has a more normalish look.

I'm not looking at the 10k versions though. I'm looking at the standards. Like a Ying Yang Standard. There's for sale on TB right now for 3900. Not bad at all IMO. Especially since you'd be able to flip it for the same price. I'd do a Monarch or Emperor too if it was priced right.

Anything over 4k though is way out of the question. I'd rather have an MTD 535 for that scratch or two nice Roscoes.

I would still give it a chance, the dude has really legit skills. But I lean more towards odd looking / shaped basses. The only other bass I would get if I had disposable income again would a kubric EX Factor.

Trust me when I say that it really is not worth your time unless if you play a real legit fodera. You would be better served paying 4k for something else.
