SOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Agreed.
Anyone playing on them SA Soundblox? Been out of the game too long and need to get back in. I love my Mobius. But it just sits there. Unused. That's a lot of unused money. I would trade down to a lesser mod thingy but I LERV that Destroyer. Any pedals doing the Destroyer thing?

Destroyer's like a bit crusher, right?

Um...not me...
The orbital is actually my favorite thing they've done, though Manta is really growing on me.

Destroyer does bit crushing, SRR, and also vinyl emulation. It's gonna be tough to find something else that does all of that. If you don't care about the vinyl sim, you can try out some other bit crushers/SRRs.

I agree with you

I agree with the sentiment, but I think the mockery of sports stems from the fact that there are dozens of channels of tv dedicated to them. Few other passions command that sort of media presence. Like I can't go to any restaurant/bar/public place with a tv and not see sports or people talking about sports.

Maybe instead of trading down, trade sideways to an Eventide H9. It can handle all of your mod duties and add delay reverb and pitch shifting powers. It can't do that destroyer thing verbatim, but maybe the ringmod would get you close enough to ugliness?
Not to say avoid the soundblox pedals. They sound really good too.

Sousa didn't like the ModFactor when he had it.

Well nix that plan then. Though if he has an ios device, he may find the H9 interface more desireable. I certainly preffer it to the pitchfactor I had.

I wonder how the scale difference is on other 6er's. This ones 34.5, which isn't bad, but the neck is just soooooooooooo fucking wide at the bottom. No way I can reach across that board, luckily, I never really need to.
I have this irrational GAS as well for a Fodera bass. I know, I know! God damn it. I just want to try every high end bass out there. Fodera has some models I could afford later down the road, so we'll see. I'd love to try a Ying Yang or a even an NYC.
Don't bother, the whole fodera thing is just hype. The lesser models feel nothing like real deal. My old bass teacher has a Monarch 4 that he got on a steal. Sweet bass but not worth the price you have to pay for it.
A Carl Thompson on the other hand ......
mmmmmm

Good to know! I'll stick to my MTD, Roscoe, Fbass, Wal GAS then. LOL
I didn't dig the Mobius either and found the bit crusher on it rather unusable. It just didn't sound good to me. I've never found a bit crusher I like though. They all kind of sound like poop.
I'm diggin that Source Audio set up. I've been considering going a similar route lately.

i've played John from Consider the Source's fodera and honestly it wasn't any nicer than MTDs or Roscoes I've played. I think MTDs feel a little better than Roscoes but Roscoes sound better.

I just feel the need to balance the Mobius hate and say that I fucking love my Mobius, and wish I could afford to have two so I wouldn't have to keep switching it back and forth between my two pedalboards.

I don't even really know what a Mobius is

Mobius is Strymon's Modulation Multi-Effect pedal.
I liked the Mobius as well as the ModFactor. I am rocking an M9 now but definitely want an H9.
