Can the Ring and Balanced Modulation heads hear the copious amounts of Ring and Balanced Modulation in this track?

Thanks Chanks! I did that track with an old friend of Don Buchla's. It should end up on a low key compilation memorial for Don. He did the big drone and I did the bass line that starts it (and it subtly comes in in the middle somewhere and right at the end fade), the alien communications and weird sounds on top of the drone (or that sometimes seem to come out of it) as well as the rhythmic bits. - basically everything except that fantastic drone. I had about 17 variations of the same patch saved on the preset manager and I spent some time getting to know them so I could get mileage out of wiggling. Each of us recorded in one pass and I did a little bit of mastering.

Every patch of mine had Balanced or Ring Mod in it to some degree.

This is a delightful walk through a meandering tunnel built of high strung wires and crystalline tines that weaves through alien landscapes while underwater primates yell at us from the other side. Yes, gobs of modulation on that track, thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for listening and for the thoughtful feedback @crochambeau!

This is a pretty cool, it’s about the Buchla 111 Dual RingMod and has a lot of nice history:

I'd guess messin' around in Pure Data is cheaper than buyin' one of these:
