All depends on what is being played. It was more faster death metal so it all just turned out sounding like mush and unusuable treble. it just was horrible cause I had heard 2 of the bands before and they didn't sound like this prior to it.

I may change out the speakers down the road with ones that are more bass friendly, but the CTS speakers in there now sound great on guitar. The cab has lot of low end and not as much mids, so I can see where some might not like the ported natural of this beast.

I discovered my kindle fire takes pictures, so here's my current rig. Around the time I joined, I was looking for an amp that could do "bedroom level" heavies since I'm apartment living and I'm probably moving somewhat frequently for the next couple years (thus the microterror and gvt-15h)... but after hanging around here for a while, somewhere along the way I apparently said "fuck it" and just bought a loud-as-hell amp.
:picard:

Anyway, the pedal scene is basically dirt (mostly black forest boosting Dunwich Wizard), the newish Seymour Duncan vapor trail delay, and a reverb. Everything else is in rotation really.

It feels like carpet from a builder who skimps on the padding underneath it

Yeah dude, the GVT takes pedals like a champ. The ss needs no pedals though, haha. How do you like that blackstar? I had looked into those a while ago, but never found a deal on one around here.
