sooooo.... those pancake ones, most i've used with the tab, if you heat up the body to melt the solder, you'll melt the small piece of plastic holding the jack steady. donnnnn't do that. kills it hard.

Ugh, I have burnt out my share of plugs, components and jacks in the past... Thankfully I have a decent soldering iron and skills from allllllll those mistakes. I will definitely be super careful not to burn those out if they are that sensitive though. I can't wait to fill my lungs with solder fumes!

Solder smells great!

So I tested my power supply to make sure everything was hooked up right, and she lit up! No problems at all. I hooked up my OC-2 and screwed around with it in the unregulated power mode since I got one of those early 90's models before they jumped on the regulated 9v boat. How the hell do people complain about tracking with this pedal? I can literally go down to an open E and let it sustain for a few seconds before I get any glitching. It tracks so fucking goooooooooooooood. I only have problems with the first couple of frets on the G string, and I'm working on fixing that.

We've got some stray cats who regularly pass through our yard. I won't say I live across the street from a junkyard, but there's a lot of heavy machinery there that never moves. I think the cats live there.

My neighborhood in northwest San Antonio suburbia has a crazy large amount of stray cats as well and I have no idea why. Yet my cat loves chasing them off the yard and hissing at them....

my little dawg will growl if she's see's them in the back or on the front yard.

but we don't have strays really. i think it's my neigbor's cat.
