I've never had a problem with both of my elements and pancakes.

Are the two pancakes touching each other or is it the DC plug that's getting in the way? Is is straight or right angle?

No, the pancakes aren't touching. It would be fine like that, if the power jack were somewhere else. Even as it is, I can ALMOST get the power plug in there, but the plastic around the barrel won't squeeze between the pancakes.

Ahh... then it must be what Mudfuzz said.

If you're crafty, take an X-acto and shave off a little plastic from the DC plug. I've done this before (for a different reason) just to get 'er in there

Yeah, I could probably try that, although I can't find them in singles, 10-packs are the smallest ones I can find.

Has anyone tried the non-pancake right-angle plugs that they sell on Mammoth? These ones: http://www.mammothelectronics.com/1-4-i ... 0-1002.htm

Are they easy to solder, are the lugs easy to get to?

The main reason I like the pancakes is because when you take the back off, they are wide open and so easy to solder and then put together.

I've tried those, but I don't like them.

Just like you said - more bitchy to work with and I HATE the super long barrel. That to me is more of a pain in the ass when you turn the plugs sideways and they start knocking into each other.

Pancakes are stupid plugs... I've hardly ever had the radio shack right angles go bad on me and they are cheap and come in long, short and shorty short...

yeah. i've shaved off plastic on the psu connector before.

plus.... i HAVE had where if you do the psu first then just MAN HANDS the audio pancakes in it feels weird (heh) but it works.

Maxxxy - there's a spot near me that in addition to doing veggie corn beef hash does lemon cornmeal cakes.

fuck me. so good.

....... might go there thursday with the grrLy friend human we've been trying to sync up for breakfast together for too long.

I use pancakes from Mammoth with my Elements and there's no issue. I have two brand new PP+ too, so not sure why that would be a problem?

I'm using cioks on both of my boards. I don't know how in the world it's working for you and not me. :idk:

He's got the Swedish edition of The Elements. It's even more space-efficient than the regular Canadian version. :p

Here is what happens when I try to plug them all in at once. I've found that I can kinda get one of the pancakes in with the power jack, it's just that the power plug is slightly leaning to the opposite side. If I use a straight cable in the other audio jack, it all fits, but very snugly. I'll probably have to get a non-pancake right-angle for the other jack. Oh well
