The Morphagene is perfect for that and it's incredible so far. That's the only way I've used it so far.

The Morphagene is pretty much the only module I'm still gassing for. It might replace my Clouds eventually

Yeah, it's mostly between Morphagene and (soon) Enso then.

Morphagene seems to be (like the Phonogene before) all about recording something, slicing it and fucking up with it all over the place.
From the videos I've seen Enso is more of a looper first, with added sound fuck-up capabilities, i.e. it seems to focus on allowing you to do loop-based stuff first. Which is what I want :).

phonogene is amazeballs and perfect for on the go sampling. it's like a ct5 on roids. you can find some pretty good deals on em too since the morphagene dropped

I think disting mk4 is rad as hell for looped samples. pick speed/pitch, start point.. small and "cheap". gets freaky when you throw in other stuff
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

I'm holding out for deeper granular features on the Orthogonal ER-301. It's already good at looping and sample playback. And it has a graphical editor, which I like for playing with samples.

I just got my ER-301 ship date estimate. July 7th. Cmonnnnnnn days passing by.

Also, Clouds and Phonogene are pretty different I think. They might have started from the same idea, but how they apply it is wildly different.

Granular synthesis is not something I'm super interested in, but dear god the Morphogene can do so many cool things.

Here's a shot of my large, now full, case. Happy with everything currently so no changes are planned until this Zetaohm sequencer drops.
