i actually heard them before they got the deal with V2...i met their sound man on a bus travelling from San Jose to Santa Cruz, and after chattering with each other for an hour about music, our bicycles, and California he decided i would appreciate their demo, and gave me a copy of "Gay?" a year or more before it was released. it was their demo that got me on the internet, because i was so impressed that i got someone i worked with at Addison-Wesley in Menlo Park to show me how to find their original tripod.com site. i saw them the one time they played in SF. i was literally standing at the walk-up window of the Great American Music Hall when their van/trailer arrived, and shouted "WELCOME TO SAN FRANCISCO" to Ryan as he disembarked wearing the cowboy hat i assume he got at SXSW. i LOVED that band.

that's awesome. i have no idea how i found them but was amused that they got started at miami university. i spent my freshman year there and fucking hated it. didn't touch a paintbrush for six years after that, transferred to OU and changed majors. went back once though when a band of mine had a show there. it was like creepy deja vu...

aside from that demo pretty sure i have everything they did, but the album "lost time" is what got me hooked.

signal path: Mellowtone Hi 5->Algal Bloom->3-knob Great Wall->W&C Tall Font Russian->EQD Sound Shank->Montreal Assembly Goodbye 24->Fairfield Randy's Revenge v.1->Polytune->(patch out for volume pedal)->RV-3->Copilot Tap Gyroscope->EMMA DiscumBOBulator->Seppuku Mind Warp->TC Phaser XII->TC SCF chorus/flanger->EQD Ghost Echo

mmmmmmmmmm, tasty board. How do you like the Mind Warp?

And foomanfat that is a very attractive board. Something about it looks really nice.

I'm digging it quite a bit. Big fan of the two knob setup. Pretty versatile for being so simple.
Have to run it at 12v to avoid a slight volume drop, though.
