Between that and the etch on that little footswitch up there I get the feeling you're a Tony The Tentacle Harrison kind of guy.

I don't see that. Napoleon Dynamite is terrible. The Mighty Boosh is the opposite of that.
Probably my favorite comedy from the first decade of the century.

You shall not regret it.
My advice, though, is to start with Season II. Season I is much more finding-the-funny, and while there's a lot of gold in there, you're much more likely to hit something you'll appreciate if you're already a fan. Season III is perfect, so save that one.
I suggest hunting down the episode The Nightmare of Milky Joe. There's no real chronology to speak of episode to episode.

fuck YEAH Resonator. fun ass patch.
I was a dummy and tried to load it through FB and then changed my soundcloud name w/o changing the external linx. Should work now. It's totally inspired by Jean and his 2 hand tapping book. I bought it a few months ago and have been digging through it slowly. I would hardly call it complete, it's just a sketch I've made based on that one algo. I posted it on TB because that one dude adamixoeuioiuaioureiorauy wants an eventide club to happen real bad so I thought I'd throw him a bone. Even if it's only myself and 2 other bros contributing, I know there's gonna be 50+ lurkers copping our presets so it ain't so bad for the attention. I'd love to see what behndy, elevenstrings, and jwar have to add (and all the other h9 owners).

yeppy yep. link works now. VERY pretty suh!
i keep meaning to dl that book and work through it. i'm so sloppy any extra helps loaaaads.
urf. dunno. the club thing skeers me, and most of my patches have been more to stack with the other output playing loud shits or to cop some pedals i replaced, but i'll try to check out that thread.

Call me what you will, but I liked Napolean Dynamite for all of its autistic glory. Seriously, if you've ever done any research on individuals who fall in the spectrum of autism, Nap Dy is a good watch and then a good read for follow up regarding what is happening with each character.

Thanks! The Resonator is the core of the prettiness, I just tried to write something to suit it. If I do something f'real with the riff I'll mix the drums way down/add live drums. The more I listen, the snare is too up front and the riff after the intro is too TOOL for my tastes. Didn't realize these things why writing. Process/Progress.
The book is goooooood. I can read sheet music, so I really wish that was an option, but I get by with the tabs and recordings and for the parts that interest me enough, I just transcribe them. I wish there was more rhythmic direction in the book too, but I understand how Jean was appealing to the masses with tab and no rhythm stems. Just as a music nerd I want to nerd out on the music theory parts of the segments.
It's a good book overall though and I'm learning things about the instrument and myself as I play through it. I can't ask for much more from anything in my life. I hope anyone reading this sees the bold bold section and acknowledges the weight of what I just wrote.
Sloppiness is a part of life, and is really what I've come to love about instrumental music. EMBRACE IT. Don't embrace it in the blink182 way where you're sloppy because you don't know any better. Embrace it in the moment, you know how it ought to sound and you're rehearsed as FUCK, but sometimes that 16th note is just a moment late and that is your groove and that is your heart beat and that is what music is all about and you're going to do it live anyways. That's how I approach 1-2 take recordings.
As far as clubs go, I subscribe to the threads to leech of their hive mind knowledge, and contribute any morsel that I may possess. I've gotten less shy about posting over the past few months (here and on TB) as I've realized that nobody on the internet gives a shit as long as you don't spam every forum with pix of your gear (Uncle Grandfather...) If you have patches that mesh with a super fuzzed out thing just say so and post it anyway. Good clips sound Good. The joy of super tweekable multis is that any preset usually gets you close enough to something that could work for your own situation.
For Example: I have a Pitchfactor for sale, but I'm still using it for bedroom shenanigans because it's fun as fuck and I don't want to download the algorithms to my H9 until it is sold... So one of my current favorite sounds is Subterannea > Xerograph Dlx + exp ped > M9 pitchglide at -0.3, 40% blend; BLENDED with a Density Hulk
But it doesn't stop there. Run that into:
H9 with any fucking delay/resonator/ultratap/tremolo> into the SA Dimension Reverb
It's more synthy than any $800 synth/keyboard I've ever owned. I've only owned one and it cost me $800, and I liked it a lot, but I'm totally fine with building my own tones that are synth/part specific.
TL;DR: Do whatever you want!
