Well,

First off I miss you guys. I have been absent besides updating my Facebook page and really have not been keeping up here.

- It was a cluserfuck getting the Fuzzhugger tour box back. I never had a problem with the USPS but every person I dealt with a complete and utter asshole. Costed me 100.00 but I eventually got the tourbox back.

-Work has been frustrating and long. Just one series of dealing with my own mistakes or the mistakes of others.

-I have been in a car accident and broke my wrist in the last two weeks. Have not been able to play music and dealing with workmans comp and car insurance. Fun

-I have liquidated most of my gear but here is the funny part, I have sold nothing. I have my Gibson and my MuiscMan head on commission over at old town music and they have just sat. I have even tried to sell my pedals at discount and nobody even cares. It would be so nice to have that cash but I may just say fuck it and keep everything.

-My wife and I have been trying to conceive for a while now. about 2 years, out last attempt was unsuccessful and we have been refereed to a endocronologist. Now that does not seem to be the worst news but we took it really hard, especially my wife. It is going to be a couple of really intense weeks coming up.

So that is about it. On the birght side its not the worst news but still shit has not gone well.

So I just got a Rusty Box, and it sounds fucking great! But when I'm not playing, I get this annoying hissing sound from it. When I turn the gain down, it goes away for the most part unless I use the boost. If I turn the gain up, not only does the pot crackle, but the hissing becomes almost unbearable. WTF. I read up on it on TB and it seems to be a common issue. I'm calling it an issue because to me it seems like a design flaw. There HAS to be a way to get rid of that hiss. Surely. I want to love it, but that hiss will make me flip that shit faster than you can cum on a pancake.

the crackle on the gain knob is unavoidable. something about the circuit they said is just that way.

neither of mine hiss though. if the gain and volume are maxed, sure. but at almost every setting it's quiet as ninja butts.

SO I notice the sound without the Rusty now. It still does make that noise, but I'm wondering if something else is fucked in my chain or if something wrong with cab? It doesn't do it when I use my bass plugged direct, only with effects.

You should just head the inevitable off at the pass and flip all of them.

Ok I think I figured it out. The Rusty sounds better off my board than on. I stuck it into the effects loop and it sounds much better now. Weird. I fucking love the Rusty though! I think it's being pissed off by my Bogner pedal for some reason. I turn the Bogner on and I get angry hissing sounds, turn on a fuzz with the Bogner, nothing. So fucking weird. I think I'm just going to take that pedal back. I was really wanting it as an OD but am not impressed by it.

Gotta find that fucking receipt though.
