The G&L is an interesting beast, because I don't usually like the coffee-table wood finishes on basses. But I didn't like any of the painted color options on the L-2500 either, so it came down to either the Maple or the Walnut finish. But the look of the huge black buckers against the wood grain has grown on me now. Probably because it kinda sorta looks Wal-ish.

If you meant the Ric, well ... I think the Ric 4001/4003 is the sexiest bass ever made.
Definitely meant the G&L. Though the wood's not fancy enought to be a true coffee table.

Ric's are awesome, I wish they didnt' feel like poo in my hands though, never played one where I didn't find the neck a pain in the ass.

hell, he took one of my Rusty Boxes and put it in a slightly bigger box because PRETTY.

Jean nailed it. i spend a LOT of time staring at my board trying to figure out music parts or what the hell i'm doing, it's way morr for me than an audience.

I STILL THINK THE SOURCES LOOK BETTER WHEN THERE'S A BUTTLOAD OF THEM THAN ONE. DEAL WITH IT.
I'm definitely not going to say aesthetics aren't important...you'll notice my boards aren't exactly thrown together without care for order and alignment. :!!!:

So let's say this is super boutique? lol. It is fucking amazing! I absolutely love the tone, feel, look, weight...everything about it. Works perfect with my MTD, so I don't have to re-eq my fucking amp between playing different basses or adjust my pedals. Just gorgeous and fun to play.

WooaaHhhh...

Never even heard of that dude, but it looks pretty sweet. Do you know the string spacing on it?

Those look like Nordstrand fat stacks or big splits too. TASTY.
That string spacing looks HUGE. I bet that thing is crazy comfortable to play.

Yeah, it looks like a hipshot A style so I'm guessing it's 19mm spacing.

Wonder if that sucker is 35" scale too...

He's busy putting up BST threads for that bass on TB and TGP.

Nope! I like this one. I believe I got the better deal outta this one. Nothing wrong with flipping gear fellas. I still have my MTD and plan on hanging onto that sucker for good. The second bass was meant to be flipped for fun so I can try shit out. I love this bass so far though.

Here's the specs on the Browne

Body- Mahogany
Top- Bocate
Headstock- Bocate front and back
Neck- Maple set neck
Fretboard- Ebony with Bocate dots
Preamp- Aquilar OBP-3
Pickups- Nordstrand Big Singles
Weight- under 9 lbs
Scale- 34.5
Spacing- 18MM

Super comfy to play. LOVE the tone so far.

A fool and his money is easily parted.

Honestly. I know I'm poking the bear over here a bit (I think it's hilarious but) but I've gotten to the point where I really don't give a fuck what people spend their money on anymore. Think that top dollar on a used KLON is gonna give you an edge on your tone; that's fine. $150 cables, go for it, it's your money. Who am I to judge. :idk:

Fuck that noise dude.

I don't like pedals with blend, but some people like pedals with blend, and people who buy pedals with blend use blend with their pedals.

I get that. I just don't like it.

Buying a $150 guitar cable is just mindbendingly stupid.

MEH-ER

I mean I spend lots on synth stuff these days, and people could knock the price of my semi modular and eurorack set-up compared to their MiniKorg but I can see (hear) a difference in the flexibility of my set-up compared to theirs. That is my rationale for my expenditure and I just plain like it.

I just hate most utility buys; cords, power supplies, etc. I want to buy stuff that really does something new but I understand that I need that utility stuff for fun pieces of gear to work.

I don't understand $150 for a 20 foot cord. I could see $50 for one with a lifetime guarantee….

But really, I don't care what that guy spends his money on either, I was just trying to be funny on that thread.
