For the price of looking like a Han Solo cosplayer you could have bought so many pedals.
SO MANY PEDALS, MAN.

Or you could do what many professional Cosplayers do and build everything yourself with the finest affordable materials you can find.

Moogers are so hawt. it's just the weird power and bypass shits and rarrrr HUGE.

Danno is making me interested in the FreqBox.

'm digging the IE SubTah though. thing is neat BUTTS.

I wish Moog were normal size. I'd totally invest in them if they were.

colin wrote:Some of you may know that I'd decided to sell my '69 Mustang so that I could afford a Bilt Zaftig. Had someone check out the Mustang today, he liked it but was undecided on whether he actually wanted to spend the money on it.

I stopped by my parents house shortly after that, and when they found out I was trying to sell it they thought that I was potentially making a decision I would regret. So they informed me that I have a few thousand dollar inheritance coming in a few months from my grandmother who died last month.

Which means that I'm not selling the Mustang! And I'll be able to order the Bilt in six months or so when I get the inheritance money!

So I guess I don't actually have anything coming or going right now, but I'm able to keep the guitar that I didn't really want to sell and still get the guitar that I really want, if not quite as quickly as I'd hoped.

Sorry to hear about your g'pa. It's always nice to know you don't have to let go of a treasured item when new life comes a-knockin'.

HALP

There's this old bass at my local pawn shop. $150, no logo, jaguar-ish, 31" scale, headstock has been broken and re-attached but it seems sturdy. Otherwise a solid 8/10 condition. Looks 60s or 70s. It's got a gold foil pickup that looks like this, but there are pole pieces sticking up through the foil and it's shiny. Plugged it in and it sounds pretty mean. I'm comfortable overhauling it if it explodes.

Should I hit it?

Had a good pedal purge this month. Sold a DMM XO, a Dwarfcraft ECT and an EBS Valvedrive. All great pedals but big and not being used enough. I pretty much 90% fund my purchases by flipping gear nowadays. I sometimes sell stuff that I regret but love trying out new sounds and writing with them. I often wonder how dudes who never have to sell pedals get anything done with big collections. I'd just spend hours stacking things with no purpose then :)

Inbound I now have a JHS modded DL4, a Greedtone Overdrive and a Smallsound Bigsound Mini.

GAS remains for a TC Trinity Verb or an EHX Cathedral. And also a Wattson EFY-6 or a B:assmaster.

Man, I can't even describe the effect your 3 in 1 pedal has on it. The Dirge boost into Verellen knocked my band mates onto their arses this week. I sold my Ebs Valvedrive the very next day.
