Love those fuzz pedals. Also, I heard the Pareidolia is being discontinued?

That's a shame.. There really is nothing quite like it.

sooooo.... i was actually really curious what one dood with all the rack stuff and intricate control/routing did with it.

not talking poo about him, but every time i see something huge and starshippy like that when you listen to the albums it's on it's just..... eh? that's... that's it?

lol. or most of the synthy tones are actually played on keys (cough coughMUSE SUCKScough cough cough)....

more haphazard all pedal but just MAGICAL layouts like Joint Chiefs Of Math (so good) or Rusky Squares (SOOOO GOOOOOD) always just do... crazy good and inspirational musics.

make sense? too anti-cork sniffery nonsense? meow?

^I can dig it, B. Anytime a rig overshadows the music it feels like art not living up to the hype.

Personally cant stand complex instrument setups and think outboard/rack gear is better left in the studio; used for tracking/mixing/post-prod and creative routing with a patch bay.

I'm one of those ppl where a setup like *that* (it is a sick rig btw, don't get me wrong) would only get in my way.
It would keep me up at night, overthinking how to do things.
The longer I play, the more I find myself striving to achieve zen minimalism as a bricoleur.
And the further along I go, the more I notice new temptations to deviate from that path.

But one can never have enough fuzz and delays. :)*

Yeah, I also think the same way.. so much intimidating coCK sniffing showoffs, ended up making the same thing. Maybe I'm just into "less is more" thingie, fuck I've sold many pedals in the past and went to a pretty simple pt-mini setup.. productivity points boosted up to 666%. But hey.. that's just my opinion, do whatever that floats your boner

ps: matt bellamy was once a great musician, now he is just so ridiculously boring with that asthmatic banshee singing and gone r'n'b disco shit to the point that is laughable, not to mention his taste in ufo suit on stage.

Haha, did I rant too much? woof?

f'realz. stuff like the TimeLine is awesome to me, 'cause it lets me keep more intricate patterned stuff as save spots for certain songs, but then loose pedals for odd toanz stuff.

i dunno. i'm not trying to trash anybody that rolls like that, just..... it usually is way less impressive than someone with a few pedals that knows them hellza well and is an interesting musician.

urf. hee. i actually feel like i've downsized just 'cause i know my Pro board better than any other collection of pedals i've had since it's stayed basically the same for awhile now.

seems legit. that's a really good sound yer talking about. keep thinking it might be cool to jury rig up some kind of clean blend to partially bypass the choas of a setup like that. would sounds sick

Don`t get me wrong people, I`m no super-booper musician. I`m just a real gear junkie, with a MIDI addiction, and a penchant for sharing. I`m kind of a kin to the duffer that owns 15 sets of clubs, but has never played a round under 100 in his life.

Seriously though, when I became enamoured with the electric guitar, it was about the same time that someone turned me on to King Crimson, and soon thereafter guitar synths started to appear. I just became intrigued as to how I could make my guitar sound like anything but. Over the years, the gear piled up, and I`m kind of anal about having stuff sitting around, so if it can a least be readily available to me, it kinda soothes that itch.

Over the last couple of years, the sharing part has really blossomed, since I hate seeing folks lose their mind over gear that may or may not be worth the mind losing (case in point, Schumann PLL). At the same time, it allows me to investigate how certain gear behaves with others, and if anyones is curious, drop me a line, and I`d be happy to share my experiences.

As for the MIDI addiction, that`s come in handy actually. Three years ago, my buddy keyboardist whom I play with, suffered a stroke. It fucked up his left side. With rehab, and surgury to his eye, he`s almost back to normal, but the left hand dexterity is not what it used to be. He`s got major problems with chords. With a MIDI keyboard, and Ableton, I figured out how to let the laptop do the heavy lifting for the left hand, while he can concentrate on the right.

We`re just a couple of garage artists. That`s it. But, we love what we do, and we love being part of a community that shares. In a way, if it wasn`t for all the years I put into that «rig», I would not have amassed much of the knowledge I have today.

I mean it's not a Monolith unless it drives people to kill.

I dunno, the wifes come close to killing me on a few occassions. Monolith being the cause.

But one can never have enough fuzz and delays.

Too much fuzz and delay? Whadz dat?

Think I've settled on a board (for a while). After much trial and error, this seems to be the right combination of things that actually get used playing with the band. Still, that right corner looks very lonely...

Driving Notion > Bit Mangler > POG2 > Volume > Moog Delay > RV-2 > Correct Sound Mad Hatter*

*This just arrived and is awesome. Fun fact, though: Shipping a painted enclosure to Russia, having the pedal built in it, and having them ship it back takes fucking forever.
