However, that goes to show you how really behind the Trump candidacy is. That base of the party should've been coalesced by now. Really, it's all just portending that Trump is inept at this and will fizzle out and get annihilated come November.

This Clinton e-mail scandal thing is pretty much making both major party candidates look pretty unelectable.

At least Trump didn't pick a retired General as a running mate just because "he likes Generals".

I'm just waiting for another 9/11 to happen right before the election so Obama can declare marshal law.
Wouldn't surprise me if he did since all the Bernie supporters would probably be fine with another year/whatever of Obama over Hilly/Trump.

Uhhh, have you ever lived in Indiana? Mike Pence is further right than Trump. Remember that time he gladly passed the RFRA as dozens of different businesses threatened to pull out of his entire state if he did? I do.

I mean, Pence won't alienate any of Trump's supporters, since Trump does a fine job alienating people on his own. But everyone i know in/from Indiana is freaking out right now.

Yes, but Midwestern governors do bigoted shit under the guise of conservatism. They don't say bigoted shit like Trump does. The Party is pissed because he's blowing their subtlety.

Also, I'm speaking from a strategic, insider baseball perspective, not the perspective of a sensible person.

Trump wants to build a wall.

Pence is also a form of change.
