Saw this performed live a few years ago at the Maverick Music Festival. What a great "ethereal song" … makes you feel like you're laying down in a field watching a starry sky ...
That's really awesome that you got to see it live. It's a beautiful song, both the music and the lyrics. I was feeling kind of melancholy Friday night when YT suggested it, and it fit like a glove.
Grip isn't mentioned much when talking about metal 'cause nu metal took over in the 90s and metal metal took a back seat so it was easy to miss Dave Lombardo's post-Slayer Grip …
Was at the library earlier today looking at the zine section and there was a cool zine from the early 00s recounting all the times this fan had seen Rainer Maria play live. Made me nostalgic for the old days.

Every once in a while I listen to the blues, and this is the kind of blues I like: raw, heartfelt, and driven by the rhythm. Actual playing starts around 1:18.

Dude if you don't know them already go listen to some BJM (Brian Jonestown Massacre), Anton Newcombe (playing in that song you posted) is their guitarist/singer and plays all instruments on most of their recordings. They are really awesome and still touring. (I personally prefer their early stuff but they're still great)
I've personally been into Krautrock lately, jazzy krautrock. Listening to alot of Out of Focus, Guru Guru and Embryo.
