Looking to replace it with a Mini or a Savior Machine. (Or maybe a Talons). I bought it as somewhat of a "breaking-up tube amp simulator" to run various dirt into but it doesn't play that well with others.

I built a SFT with a boost switchable before or after. I think the SFT sounds more grindy with the gain around mid and a boost pushing the front end. Gets you a thump with low gain, then grind with a boost. But a big part of that is also the eq. There isn't much grind with the treble control set below 2:00.

The Mini can get similar tones. Not exact since they are very different by their nature. I like the Mini more on its own, but the SFT handles a boost better. And the Mini definitely has more grind/fuzziness to it.
Maybe I'll A/B them sometime if I remember. But you should try them both anyways. Never enough dirt, right?

Sounds good dude! Almost sounds like a muff in there with some other type of fuzz? Weird. I'm interested in one for sure and the Darkglass fuzz. Fuck.

Innnnnnnnnnnteresting. I really really REALLY wanted to like the SFT, but when I tried one (at 9 volts), it felt a bit too... floppy (yes, yes, TWSS indeed). These mods you speak of sound very intriguing, though. I wonder what else could be done to the circuit to increase it's usability. I didn't really dig the Baxandall (sp?) EQ setup either - I like my mids right up front on their own knob (again with the TWSS). Could that be switched out as well?

Well because of Behndy's ridiculously awesome tourbox, I now have some major GAS for a Mini Fuck and for an Elements. I wouldn't get them both, because I would use them for a similar sound. I'm also pretty much broke, so this will have to remain GAS for a while.

I'm a big fan of the Baxandall personally, just because it is easy to use in my rig. But the most important part of the feel is the voltage used.

I might look into modding the tonestack on the SFT. Could be interesting to add a TMB eq. Or it could be awful. You never really know until you try it.

fuck off. you list stuff the price you want to sell. you figure in the shipping fee and ppal or whatever you're going to charge, then list it as that. and don't expect me to gift money if i don't know you. that means i have zero recourse if you fuck me or send me something buggled up or you SAY it was in great shape when it left but it shows up looking like a 20 year old Thai Lady Boy.

Yeah that is total horseshit. I don't EVER ask people to gift me money for gear, for exactly the reason you just said. I don't expect people to trust that I won't screw them over, and leave themselves no outs. And it's against PayPal policy to ask a buyer to cover your Paypal fees. You could get them in trouble with PayPal if they really push it. Just price your shit accordingly and don't be shady.

But that's all costs involved for me added in there. That's why it's higher than the best deal on the forum, cause it already has the other costs thrown in.

When I bought my Mobius (OMG I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Found an adapter that works, so if you sent that one already Ben, I still love you!!! ) off of Talkbass, the dude only wanted 350 dollars shipped and he was in fucking Sweden! I got a major score, I feel on that one.

I do like the Gear Page for some deals, but fuck that place. Just like TB. Only good for buying/selling.
