Uhm, so, the original "Sold all my boutique pedals" thread was obviously fun and troll-esque, with many great quotes from BossManny and others, but this is like a bad sequel - a bit too 4chan-y? Dudes politics and viewpoints obviously does not allign with mine (using terms such as 'beta male' etc. unironically is weird), but the point of this thread is pretty fair. I mean, we do complain about boutique builders simply cloning or slightly altering classic circuits alot on ILF. And there is a lot of love for Boss, DOD etc. on here. Sooooo, yeah. Holding that a Boss-pedal is as good as a fancier, pricier, more hyped boutique alternative should hardly be controversial. Shit, if Boss ever makes an oscillating fuzz, I'll be all about that. Again, pedals are just tools, use whatever does what you want it to do, regardless of brands, hype or price.

Bossman, it's perfectly fine not to like my music. Calling me names for it is kind of dickish, but everybody is entitled to their opinion, and iRerror is obviously not a band with mass appeal. And I do have some participation trophies on a shelf at my dads.

Be a fucking member of this community is what I'm asking. Contribute to something other than pointing out the obvious (that boutique shit is clones of other shit...duh).

Who's shitting on Mantic? I clearly said in my first post to not get me wrong and that I love the Mantic Vitriol. I repeated that claim in another post. My point, again, was to point out the similarities between the sound of the Mantic and the MT-2 and that hopefully would save a brother or two some money.

And perhaps I'm too thick to realize it, but I never took this site for a totally boutique driven site, although yes, I do see all the subforums. Anyhow, I paid my dues to the boutique world in shelling out thousands of my hard earned dollars to buy them, so I don't beleive I need to justify my existence to you or anybody else. Suffice to say that I put a lot of money where my mouth was as far as boutiques are concerned. This gives me the right, imo, to post my thoughts and opinions, whether you like them or not.
You have consistently shit on all boutique level pedals dude. Regardless of what site it was on, that's not the point.

This site (once again) was originally created by Devi Ever and is now owned by Tom Dalton (who owns Fuzzhugger). Every single builder on here is a boutique builder. So, you not knowing that is either out of pure ignorance (which I don't buy) or you not giving a fuck.

Again, I'll ask. Why join a community of folks who like that type of gear just to talk poorly about it? Sure you're entitled to your opinions, that's a right and I'm not going to take that away from you. I'm also entitled to ask you why not contribute to something other than these threads you've made about how you can get the same shit from non boutique pedals. Do you honestly think no one here knows that?

We all get it, or most of us do. I own Boss pedals (love them) and I own pedals made by boutique builders.

My one and only suggestion again is to contribute elsewhere. Otherwise, I'm going to consider you a troll and the collective whole might not yet, but they'll get it eventually.

Bro, it's the DD500! I mean come on! There is nothing else as sexy as it! Sure it has a few flaws (can't save loops and menu diving is tiring) but it's pretty fucking perfect. Especially when I discovered you can run effect A and B at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you've just made a very good and fair post (about joining the community).

I also didn't realize you can use A and B at the same time. Also I love that fucking pedal already.

Also, adding another layer to Bossception, I just remembered mtl.asm scott sent me a Boss and a boutique pedal for ILFSS 2015.

WE MUST GO DEEPER.

FWIW, I want to apologize to you. I flipped off your music out of hand a little too quick and never meant to single you out personally. I definitely shouldn't have done that. It wasn't cool. That's not to say my feelings about the hipster lifestyle don't still apply, and we can disagree with eachother respectfully as you have done. If you felt you were attacked personally, that was wrong of me, and again, my apologies to you.

Yo wassup Vid. Second one is the Boss. I could be wrong, but I think you're responding to the prescence of the mids, which imo makes the Boss cut thru a little better than the Mantic. You're the second person who likes the Boss better in a blind test.
Yup, those mids are why I liked it. But that was also why I assumed that wasn't the Boss. Bringing in more mids is a classic boutique cloning thing.
