Yeah, I've been wanting one for a while.

I like that land devices. Kinda like perc with humbuckers. About the only thing I like with humbuckers.
Might be my love for rocker switches clouding my ears.

Double

I just noticed the latest Cafetiere iteration in my Reverb feed and became instantaneously smitten. Definitely interested in deets if someone snags one.

I just got one of Skully’s Even Anguish’s in the mail and this thing is crazy! I’ve tried a couple of different Percs but none are this high gain and sputtery. This feels completely at home doing Shellac type stuff. Can’t wait to get it on my board and try stacking with it.

That Cafetiere looks awesome, especially for the price. Land Devices sounds good as well but I did see a gutshot and notice the footswitch is board mounted, if that happens to go out good look replacing it. Most will never have a problem but with that said I hope they used high quality switches.

Bought the Cafetiere. Has a few more options than the Land Devices I think. Be warned: with shipping from the UK it's $185.00 US.

I've had a fredric Percolator that Chank loaned me indefinitely. I want to give it back to him at some point (even though he said I didn't have to) but I can't find anything to replace it. There's something about that attack and mid push and very slightly gateyness that I love. I've been using it at low gain and stacking everything else after it because the music I play is vaguely Shellac-y and nothing else gives me that chunky but not saturated palm muted percussive clank.
My only complaint is I wish it didn't cut my bass, making my already weak bridge pickup sound even thinner. But new pickups might fix that.
Do all percs cut low end or is it just this one?
Also I feel like I'm almost wasting it by using it like this because I love how it sounds when it's cranked

No, all percs do not cut bass. D Rock gave me the idea to put the input/output caps on a toggle, and by putting a larger pair on there you can keep the beef. It also lets it self oscillate a bit with the diode clipping on at lower gain settings (at least my build does). My build is unconventional, but I like it. I've made a couple percolators now, and the input/output cap toggle is a great addition.

My '1000 hurts' perc clone by Latent Lemon Audio actually has a bit of octave down going on, no lack of lows at all

Hmmm. Chank may get his perc back after all

You should at least definitely keep it long enough to compare 'em.

Or keep 'em both?
You're right, it does cut bass, but sounds great cranked.
You could also try to run it in parallel with your straight signal.

That would give me an excuse to buy an LS-2...
AND I've always wanted to run the Percolator and an Unpleasant Surprise in parallel.
