Yikes! I'd love to build some 4x12 towers but stuff like that makes it less apealing. the Issues that come up with size can be a pita. Never mind warping. Glad you have it ll sorted, that's going to be fucking cool.

Solid, it'll be a race between you and me on who completes theirs first. haha.

And yea AxAxSxS, it's something that seems to come up with birch more than anything. didn't have anything like that with the red oak or most of the pine I've used though a little bit on some pieces, but not as much as the birch, so that's annoying. But hell outside of those things to figure out I'm really enjoying piecing together some solid beasts.

thats good to know. I would have gone with Birch as default but if using other materials for something like that is going to make it better structurally (or at least straighter) that's the way to go. I'm no master carpenter so less pitfalls is better.

Also kept a factor of the environment you live in. It's more humid down here so I should've known better, or got to work on it faster. I like pine and oak more than birch anyway. Just not a huge fan of it. And any tonal benefits it leads hands to is really more for clean playing, which obviously I keep far away from.

Oh snap haha, well if you work with it quickly. like get it break it down and get it framed up, you can probably keep it straight enough till you end up sealing it one way or another. I just happened to let it sit just cut up.
