yeah, there's a mockup on the previous page. backwards mastery vibrato and the bridge in the polished finish. i was originally gonna get a staytrem with the trem arm and an AVRI bridge but he got the special mastery gear so i splurged on that. i think the backwards plate looks better with the behind the bridge pickup, otherwise i'd have gone for the normal shape.

OMMFG, I'm not sure I can even look at this thread anymore.

This's giving me major GAS.

backwardsvoyager, do you know about how much it's gonna weigh?

the way its contoured is a bit different to normal, more wide and rounded on the front. the whole body is a liiiittle bit thinner than a normal jazzmaster too.
i'm really impressed with how nicely everything seems to be sanded and filled considering the whole body and neck are just gonna be smothered in purple anyway.

i'm not actually sure so i'll ask Anthony soon but it will probably weigh as much as a normal american jazzmaster whatever that would be, even with a slightly slimmer profile i think the silkwood body is supposed to be similar to maple. which is heavier or something. i'm not very knowledgeable about this  I like heavy-ish guitars like my squier j mascis so i was aiming for a similar weight to that. not a back-breaker but not light i'm guessing.

Nice, thanks, yeah, it doesn't look like it'll be too light.

I tend to like lighter guitars. It's probably gonna weigh too much for me. So, it's a good thing you're getting it and not me.

It's gonna be awesome though. I can't wait to hear what you say after you play it. :snax:

i'm sure he could do a similar thing with lighter weight timbers regardless if you were wanting something like that. for me it's like heavier guitars anchor in place more or something, whenever i play a really light guitar it's like i'm trying to hold it in place :idk:

and thanks dude, i'm sure i'll have plenty to say about it, i want to put as much info on ILF as possible so everyone here knows what to expect if they place an order. i was considering a couple of other builders but i've been really happy with this so far.

purple soon.
very purple, very soon.

thanks for your patience andrew.
i'm really enjoying making another set neck offset - i made a bunch of these 5 or 6 years ago and then i got lost on an aluminium tangent for a while there ...

* this will probably weigh around 8 lbs total is my guess.
i'll whack it on the scales with all the mastery and novak goodness piled on top and check the weight soon.
