I'm super happy with this Soda Meiser that I built with one of Devi's kits for a buddy on another forum. I wired Q4 on a switch so it's switchable between the SM and VFM. I must have been stoned when I thought of how to wire the switch because I thought I needed a 4PDT for some reason. I used it like a 3PDT although I could have even used a DPDT. Whateva.

I'm not a battery guy, and the black Russian Muffs don't have DC jacks. So I decided to add one. But I wanted something small and not very noticeable. I'd bought some smaller jacks from Mouser earlier in the year (props to McSpunkle), and I had still had a couple left, so that's what I went with. These are great little jacks, especially if you don't use batteries (it only has two solder lugs, one for ground and one for power). If you want to pick some up, they are Mouser part# 163-1060-EX.

I really dig the sound of this thing, but then again I am a well-known lover of Muff.

Anyway here are a few shots of the insides and finished outside.

Soldered up and the wires are running back behind and under the board.

^ nice work dude. I always just used one of those little adapters that clips on to the battery snap for my black Russian. It's kindof an annoying solution though. Yours is much more legit/convinient.

My black Russian was my first pedal and I used to think it sounded so awesome but now I just can't seem to get a good sound out of it. I don't know what the dealio is. It just lost it's edge or something..

I did almost the exact same thing with those tiny DC jacks but I mounted it on the side with the starve after I flipped the PCB over like a pancake. everytime I jam with this kid he says "no sound coming out of the muff!?" to which I reply "you paid me to switch the input and output jacks remember?" and he says "oh yeah right" everytime we jam lol

Thanks dude! It's my favorite thing I've built so far. I shipped it away yesterday but I'm following it up with dat ptp SM for sure.

It sounds great on bass huh? I had been rocking it with a Mustang bass in mah band and it sounded so awesome. Everybody loved it haha. I can't wait to make the ptp one.

I used a 1590A just because the friend I built it for wanted it so.
I prefer a bigger box with top-mounted jacks, where's the discussion at?
