An 8 string guitar. Tried out the Ibanez RGA8 the other day and liked it a lot.

TGD really is an animal of it's own. I rock quite a few DE pedals myself and love the noisy brutes, but nothing comes to the TGD territory though... It's one of my favorite audio-bashers. LOTS of mangled audio and different sorts of noises in there, after one gets a hold of the dials.
