I've seen some ugly dingers, but THAT is fucking disgusting.Haki wrote:Fuck Dingers.
On a bass, yes. Two is my limit, unless it's a Jazz bass and I can just keep the tone down all the time.Deltaphoenix wrote:3 knobs is too many?D.o.S. wrote:I go for rounder guitars/basses/stringy thingys with vertical frets/pickups/etc.behndy wrote:I CUT YOU. WITH MY MISNAMED BARRY GUY.
what.... what makes them ugly?
*hurt puppy dog about to cry look*
Also, I'm picking up a lot of the "looks like a bad photoshop" thing from these pics.
But, uh, I've never played one (too many frets, too many knobs, too many bling-blings), so I can't comment beyond that.
I'm sure I could, but they'd probably cost more than the cab is worth. Not sure I'm willing to sink money into a cab I bought used for like a hundred buckswarwick.hoy wrote:Bum deal. Dat a Carvin 410 I see to remember (probably incorrectly) you rolling with. You could probably just source replacement drivers though Carvin Directly, but who knows if specs have changed.
I think for the tone/sound/feel that you're going for, a Mesa cab would be ideal.bigchiefbc wrote:So my bass was sounding really anemic at practice last night, and I had to keep turning the volume up until my signal was distorted as fuck. I was worried that my amp finally did the Bugera/behringer thing and shit the bed. So I plugged my amp into my guitarists cab, and it sounded awesome. So I put my ear right up against each speaker in my cab and two of my speakers had nothing coming out of them.![]()
I at least still have my Avatar 212 to get through our next gig, but I really like that 410, it was so ballsy sounding. I find the 212 too muddy. Sadness.
I dinked around on that bass a bit at Musikmesse this year, its actually cooler in person than it looks in that picture. Wouldn't spend for it though.Haki wrote:Fuck Dingers.
Ah; Time for an upgrade!bigchiefbc wrote:I'm sure I could, but they'd probably cost more than the cab is worth. Yeah, Mesas would be ideal. But there's no way in hell I could ever afford them. They are insanely expensive, and money is crazy tight for me right now. I'm gonna have to see what's out on craigslist. And I'll have to live with the Avatar for now, and I'll probably tweak my amp EQ to try to get the sound I want.excane wrote:I think for the tone/sound/feel that you're going for, a Mesa cab would be ideal.bigchiefbc wrote:So my bass was sounding really anemic at practice last night, and I had to keep turning the volume up until my signal was distorted as fuck. My 2 4x10's together have never let me down in over 8 years of heavy gigging and my 6x10 just unleashes holy hell at any volume I throw at it.
