in: Last version of the Sovtek black muff with the heavy housing and they started calling it the russian muff..., super clean

More fuzzy and muffy then the Russian muff not as loud or bassy or well awesome as my old bubble font, but still rather good

You other brothers cant de-ny

BUBBLE FONT!!! Almost as good as Bubble Buttzzz...
I had to look up that Swanson fella he's dubious at best...
Cant wait
Currently have a Tall Font that I've been using daily...and want to do a comparison between them; keep which version I prefer...unless one goes to the guitar rig and the other to bass...
...or keep both on the same board

Bubble Font is a little bit muddier than the Tall font with a little tiny bit less gain!

Well nothing in or out for a few months. I am dying for a EHX Cathedral Reverb but I have to payback a tiny loan I took out to pay off my G3.
But my Dirge custom is on the cusp of being finished.

I'm having a really hard time saving up for some molded in-ears.

GAH. I SO NEED TO DO THAT.
it's so silly. i have thousands of dollars of gear that i drag to each show.... but i don't spend the couple hundred on a pair of really good ear protectors. i only wear plugs at like half my shows. so DUMB.

STOP BUYING SHIT TILL YOU GET YOUR MOLDS.
I lost the better fitting pair I had in the move, and I am so incredibly sad about it. They are worth every penny, they won't mess with you, just do it.

You say that as if it's an easy thing to do. :P
I need to just go get the molds done to really force the point.
1964 triple drivers are the plan.

Nice! I use the Westone UM-2s, I believe. Plenty of bass and loud enough to be incredibly painful if you get hit with feedback inside your head.
Westone's earplugs were pretty close to free when I got the rest of the stuff done too, which was a nice bonus.

how much reduction do you get with the custom molds? is it well enough beyond the -35 dB foam plugs available at Walgreens to make it worthwhile? i'm not talking about in-ear monitoring, in which i have no interest at all.

1964 offers -9, -15 and -25dB filters, but I would imagine you'd get better isolation and clarity from a mold w/ filter than from foam.

Exactly. Westone is the same, I have the 15s and the 25s. The thing is, I could stand in painfully loud concerts without it affecting me (except the time I saw Eccotone. Those dudes were LOUD.), and yet I can hear a whisper in my ear when someone wants to go outside.

I guess I need a pair of those. But I can't even remember what playing loud or going to a show is like. That's sad
