I couldn't find the TGP fail thread so I figured this is good enough. todays winner is an avid TGP poster who failed at motorcycles so he uses his shop to build pedals upside down with overpriced aircraft parts cause it has the tonez.
It starts with our proprietary circuit that I named the Early Days of Fire v2.0 (or EDOF v2.0) which uses combinations of different minerals and elements such as Silicon
funny vintage sounding name, overpriced, tell people how rare silicon is....GO!
You never hung out with band girls did you? No, not the preppy violinists, flutes, guitarists, and the disney piano plunkers, but the brass, woodwinds, percussion girls that were in it for the long haul as well. They might be super fucking nerdy and socially inept in some occasions, but most of them had a pretty fun and wild side to them. The ones I hang out with already went trough the drugs, alcohol, sleeping around, and fucking up things. They're just looking to play music and have a good time. Sure in every circle there is still a few crazy ones, but for the most part they're pretty normal.
awesome signature with witty quotes from all you fuckers
i want to be super influental to my bass player so he'd finally buy some effects there are certain parts of certain songs when i just hear what the bass sound is missing
BUT i admit that i'm a guitarist so i should probably leave bass to the bassist

One of my favorite things in life is when a guitar player asks me TO USE effects!!
I actually get alot of gigs and studio/recording gigs cuz I am pretty much the only bass player in all of NW IN. that has an arsenal of effects and uses them with success. I'm known as the bass player that does all that crazy shit!

Oh and then there's the problem he ran away from home so even though he lives with his grandma, he's probably not in the financial situation to buy stompboxes

Well how cool are you then? I know I have let several guitarists try pedals, but sadly no one has ever reciprocated. (of course if you don't hand around ILF you are missing out on loads of KILLER SHIT!!)
I understand. Do you have any pedals laying around he can kinda try on for size. About 20 years ago my old guitarist let me use and old beat to death Ibanez Flanger and that was the beginning of the end for me.
i can't say i do everything i have is on my board... we'll see how things work out, i'll let him try my Pigtronix EP-1 and i hope he won't steal it from me
and also i'm curious about how would my Frazz Dazzelr sound with a bass
DarkAxel wrote:being from EU really doesn't make lending and borrowing pedals easy but i've had some cool transactions
i'll watch the internet for a super-cheap BBM i honestly think he could like that one
Bolded and made huge for the lulz.
Seriously,...the BBM is one of the BATBH.PBWYAAI thread's biggest gripes. It's not a good pedal yet receives tons of hype.
What are the prices on EXAR over there,...just out of curiosity. They are made in Poland I'm pretty sure and I've tried and really liked the Bass Distortion. It can get into the realm of Fuzz territory timbre but won't do anything too crazy.
I've actually loaned fuzz boxes to guitar players in the past.....
-You have passed the test -What test? -The Bass Big Muff test... most men would've bought the Bass Big Muff, for it is cheap and seems cool, but you have the brainz, you flipped it off in no time...
i haven't heard about Exar, they aren't even distributed here
They are about $130 USD over here as well. No idea on the exchange rate though. I'm not sure how much is hype about their "handmade" ad copy,...but I was on board the tourbox that TBer bongomania circulated and they are built like a tank (with the exception of the plastic foot treadle) and they have a unique relay based true bypass. $130 seems a little over the mass produced rate yet a little under the typical booteek stuff.
