I'm glad to hear that. I'm really keen on picking up Fullerton TV when I have the money. It'll be my hollow-body until I can afford the $5000 MotorAve BelAire (not until I find a lottery ticket). And yeah, for $3000 there are any number of guitars I'd rather buy over a Duesenberg; Koll would be one of them.sylnau wrote:Thanks for the info.
But I don't care where they are build.
I tried many of them at my local dealer... Starplayer Special, Starplayer TV, CC, 49ers and they all worth the high price to me.
But for myself... I would prefer to get a Koll at that price.
I'm keen on trying the new Skreddy phaser. It's ridiculously pricey for what you get, but knowing Marc he's put something unobtainable in there.Bassboar wrote:I demand clips!!!!
Also, seriously GASing for some modulation.
Maybe a Whetstone?

if you want them to sound all vintagy and old I guess. Or you could just buy old speakers...behndy wrote:is that really a thing? do speakers need broken in?

I was totally gonna post the Koll in your Guitar Search thread cuz it fit all of your criteria perfectly. Except for that price...THEBEERHAMMER wrote:Played one of these today...it was.....i cant imagine the motorave being that much better...

Oh yeah, I watched that whole video the other day, his sig model turned out badass! That's a really great option, interested to see what it costs. That Evertune is an insane piece of engineering.THEBEERHAMMER wrote:Holy Schnikes wrote:I was totally gonna post the Koll in your Guitar Search thread cuz it fit all of your criteria perfectly. To be honest, once you start branching out into $3000 guitars you don't actually "improve" in quality the higher up the money ladder you go. For instance, an EGC at $2200 should, in theory, last longer than a $10,000 private stock PRS due to its aluminium construction. The quality is going to be "better" too because it's made on a machine, something that can function to a minute degree, and uses parts you choose. But the PRS is $7,800 more expensive. Why? Because it uses expensive woods and components, and is expensive to build. MotorAve guitars, they probably only build 15 or so guitars a year. The shop is maybe only ran by one or two guys and has high overheads. The woods and parts they use are specialized and built solely for them in very small numbers. So you're paying for unique parts and values.THEBEERHAMMER wrote:Played one of these today...it was.....i cant imagine the motorave being that much better...
I saw that video. I'm a huge Dillinger fan and that guitar seems awesome. I'd swap the pickups out though. EMG's on a hollow-body?THEBEERHAMMER wrote:Yeah man i just dont know if i can spend more than three grand on a guitar right now...
