excellent. here's a pic of the proto, obviously the real deal won't look like it at all, but look at the cute k-on girls prototype!

im pretty pleased with the proto, i wont get to play it at volume until tomorrow, and i will use it at a show this weekend. i wont be able to record clips until this saturday though because i want to be able to do them with the amp at a decent volume.
generally it came out as I imagined it would. at full gain its pretty fuzzy, but not fuzzy enough to be considered a fuzz pedal IMO. it reacts well to volume knob roll off. the gain control on this pedal actually is just like rolling off your volume knob because its jsut an input gain control. the voicing of the EQ is heavier on the bass side of things for better or for worse, so I am not sure whether I want to tweek it or not. i am finding a fairly neutral setting on the tone knob at about 1:30 or 2 o clock. Thats with my Danelectro U1. Even with the tone knob dimed it doesnt get unbearably nasal, it sounds kind of good with the tone dimed actually. i think i like it at 3 o clock best.
so i may tweak the tone knob. seems like it would be good for bass, the way it is though. i havent played bass with it yet. however i dont want it to work good for bass at the expense of it not working good for guitar. if it works good for both thats great, but if i have to choose one, obviously i would pick guitar. im up for your guys thoughts, especially once i post some sound clips

Well I guess we've waited this long so a little longer isn't so bad.
The apple proto looks wicked man, can't wait to hear it.

可愛い!I understand what you are saying. But if it will let as much lows through as say the DC/CC [with both chans turned on] then it would be bomb as the DC/CC lets more lows through [without filtering] then just about any other pedal that will do OD that I have. That is why you have me interested in this [beside the 可愛い factor...

], generally fuzzy ODs work very well for bass VS the TS type ones. That said, I do own guitars....

Maybe a clean blend so the bass and guitar can be compensated...

so i played it alongside a Miracle Rabbit just now... and I feel I really like the voicing of both of them, however as far as distortion/breakup, the electric apple definitely gets into the same territory and as the rabbit. so i think i will be changing the rabbit a bit for a bit more juice
