Hi!
I'm new here! I'm a long time forum lurker. Started lurking about a few years ago as I was looking into setting up a guitar rig for home recording, since I was without a band. Of course I got caught up in this new world of indie pedal builders. I have been playing guitar and bass in various indie/punk bands since the late 90s. Still interested in pedals for recording primarily!

Players who have influenced me the most in my style of playing include (chronologically for me): Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, William Reid, Dan Treacy, Vini Reilly, Gregory Webster ......

You seem like a likeable bunch here.

Hi, I am not entirely new here but I just found this thread. My name is Ryan and I am on a quest to put together a halfway decent rig with little budget. So obviously that requires a lot of saving hah.
I am 30 years old and have been playing the guitar since 14. I am in 3 projects. My former main project was a Symphonic Metal band ( This is currently on a weird half hiatus), My side project which is more along the lines of Dream Theater, Between The Buried and Me, and Opeth and my newest and current full time project a Doom Band. I enjoy a wide variety of music in general but mostly gravitate towards metal. I am the father of two kids ( Hence the lack of funds.) I for many years just stuck with Digital modeling until I learned the error of my ways. I am an avid horror fan of both literature and film. Hmm well anything else feel free to ask.

Hello ilf my names Brandon. Been playing guitar for just over 10 years. Been in punk/hardcore bands off and on up until a couple years back. On my own at the moment just writing songs and working on my guitar setup. Hoping in the near future I can find some like minded peeps to jam with. Write more hard rockish stuff these days opposed to pure punk. My influences are all over the place from punk bands like nofx, bad religion, strung out, and the flatliners. To rock bands like Matthew Good, tom petty, the Beatles, and the gaslight anthem.

Hi!

I stumbled upon this site while searching for information about the Seppuku FX pedals. I'm not particular a fuzz fanboy through and through, but I adore pedals in general and love playing everything that has strings or keys. My musical influences in alphabetic order: Jeff Beck, Stanley Clarke, Joe Jackson, Jamiroquai, Kraftwerk, The Police, Simple Minds, Sting, Tangerine Dream, Toto and Steve Winwood.

This is what I currently have:

Guitars
Admira Malaga-E (Spanish classical guitar)
Fender Stratocaster (Made in Japan)
Yamaha RBX-250 (a crappy bass - will finally be replaced by a Squier Vintage Modified 70's next year)

Amp

Piano/Organ
Korg BX-3
Korg SP-200

Yeah, I really love Korg synthesizers and their old 80's pedals, especially the PME-40X modules like the DIST WAH and the OCTAVE V. But I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a few analogue Roland, Moog or Oberheim synths. What I have here is what came up quite cheap. For example the decent shaped (but not yet fully working) Mono/Poly that I grabbed for 200€ in a local ad earlier this year or the big fat Trident that I bought for laughable 75€ in 2009.

And Boss is a good affordable work-horse in lots of cases. I've tried to slim down that collection, but I ended up buying those pedals again, because I missed them (FZ-2, HM-2 and others).

What's that one pedal? :)

How's it going? Derek, 24, been playing for...I don't remember how long.
I'm currently running a '76 Gibson L6S Deluxe through a Mesa Boogie F-30. Got a Boss CS-3, Way Huge Swollen Pickle, MXR Carbon Copy, and a whole list of other pedals I want.
It's good to be here.
