huh. i didn't get that at all. it just seemed like Jean would have rather been asked before part of his design was used, people said that it might be better to check with the person if it's possible but it's debatable. it didn't feel like anybody was trashing you for anything that went on? and dooder took it way too hard, i don't think anybody was calling him a dick or anything?
sorry if i said anything rude to you up in thar, was just expressing my thoughts on personal designs used on pedals being replicated. i've had that crop up once or twice.

Right but that's the whole point. The design was only one element of it. It's not like we literally took the entire thing and just redid it. Dan did not have a problem with it after I explain I meant no disrespect and neither did Jean. Those posts on Talkbass though I feel hurt me number 1 as a business person, because I am actually trying to run a legitimate business here. and 2 are somewhat presumptuous of my character. Like I would intentionally try and upset someone. Why one earth would I do that.
Had I been Pm'd on Talkbass and talked to without feeling like I have to explain myself, I wouldn't be this upset. I don't like my character being called on because of one silly thing.
I may be overly upset about this and the harshness of my response was not really how I feel, but I'm genuinely hurt. I feel like people who claim to be my buds don't give a fuck about me.

I agree jwar, that thread took a weird turn and frankly don't think you owe anybody any explanation. The numbers were such a minor point and have little to do with the design as a whole. If it had been an etch of Chun Li on a POG2 there might be reason for complaint.
I like Jean a lot and I don't think he was being an ass about it or anything, but frankly I was a little surprised he even thought he should have been asked or given any credit for it.

Like I said to you in PM, no worries. I honestly don't care and the whole thing blew out of proportion - I just saw the similarity and went
- but I guess I should have put some smilies in my initial TB post or just not said anything. I didn't think that anybody would take my comment bad/wrong way, and I definitely did not see your customer getting so bummed about it to the extent of stating he would cancel his TB account.
