I joined this band and played guitar on this a little while ago. Pretty much take every different type of screamo/scramz and throw it in a blender.

Sounds tasty. I'm always jealous of peeps who can make that kind of bass tone sound good. Maybe a little bit more in the high mids and a little less lowend to distinguish it from the kick a bit more? some bits get muddled (esp. when your drummer goes all in on the double kick).
Thanks for the comment..still trying to get the tone just right but its close.

First two tracks off our album.

:idk:

I never get feedback on the first thing which through the grueling course of time I've come to assume is an if-you-can't-say-something-nice situation.

Dude! (dude?) I'm listening to the first track of GB now and this shit is groovy as hell, ain't nothing off putting about it.

The only thing I wish was different about the first track was that the vocals kicked it up when the fuzz kicked in. I'm going to listen to the whole thing and give you a full critique.

DEY GOT RHODES, YO!

EDIT: Ok, This is a solid album. Super ethereal, with a dusting of fuzzy/noises. Around "Chainsaws" I got kind of sleepy, but not in a "God, do you even know how to heavys?" way. Favorite track is "Heavy Metal" but I really liked "Deritus" and "Bad Operator", too. The vocals (yours?) could use some more flexion in a few parts. Whoever it is has a really good voice but I feel like they hang out too much in the lower/relaxed part of their range at times they shouldn't.

But this could all be an aesthetic choice so what do I know?

tl;dr: The groove is strong with this one, maybe grab your junk more?

Drone/noise/intended-as-a-soundtrack I did for uni with a lot of trem/layered delays and some scattered samples. keep an ear out for the wilhelm scream.

Ahh thank you so much dude! I'm so grateful that you took the time to listen and write about it. I agree with you re: the vocals not pushing/stretching out enough.

I listened the stuff in your signature and I really enjoyed the fuzzy textures! The last track is very hypnotic and really does evoke the feeling of waves against rocks. Very interesting. :thu:

There's so much music in this thread I gots to check out.

Yeah 80% of the music in this thread is baller.

Thanks for the kind words. One day I'll actually take the time to rerecord these with like a metronome and real pedals and microphones and maybe even drums . One day.....one day..... :picard:
