The Moog sounds incredible, definitely worth it even though it's huge and needs its own power supply.jb2106 wrote:Wow... Wicked... What do you think of the Moog Ring Mod ? I've been saving for one....
Ring mods in general are harder to utilise musically than a lot of other effects but if you want one you can't go wrong with the Moog!

Actually the "musical" settings are easier to find on a Randys Revenge. I've heard people find that boring for that very reason, but I love to use it when I'm out for playable stuff. If I want to go more noisy or obnoxious the Moog is hard to beat though.
I use Ring Modulation more for the obnoxious aspects though.

When I saw Health in october they were using a moog ring mod with some fuzz and it was the best bass sound I've ever heard: massive and clanky. If I had more use for a dedicated ring-mod/trem I would definitely go for the moog over my ring thing.

Yeah, I know the feeling. But as soon as I bought my CIOKS DC10, I knew I'd made a good decision. It's just so handy. I'll be buying another one when I can.ChetMagongalo wrote:I'm using one for each row for convenience, I've never ever had a problem either!
and yeah those CIOK things look really sick but it's money I could be spending on gear

Current jams...soon to add a Sonar and hopefully replace the Flashback. Great delay just more than I need.

Local company JSL. Big muff, not sure what model but it's for bass. Bass boost, wider filter range and mids knob. It's a very versatile and killer pedal.

It's just an early model of my Mini Fuzz. But it works really nicely with the Minis. Thick and fuzzy.
