but it's always super awesome fun times to meet someone you glom on to and can learn from. i'm starting up lessons again Thursday with this dood that i liked a LOT when he was teaching me last. i think he completely over-estimated where i'm at though, my fault for not telling him i was getting behind. we talked and i told him to please just start up like i'd just picked up the bass. there's so much damn stuff that's basic that i have no idea about.

i am ESCITE. might actually learn to play this thing some soon.

see...... here's the thing...... i SUCK. i'm hacky and have a really limited repertoire. and like NO understanding of theory. i need to learn pretty much everything.

this dood is awesome though. he's a beast of a player, but he's a damn good TEACHER. i've had lessons i walked out of because either the person spent the first 20 minutes wanking and showing off how good they are (that...... doesn't help me at ALL) or they say, "i don't really play bass, but on guitar.....". this guy is GOOD but the only time i've seen him go off and do crazy shits is when i show up a bit early and hear him working on pieces.

lol. also, he plays 6'er primarily. so he writes out his lesson plans and fingering (giggety) charts and all for 6's originally, then mods them for 5's or 4's he teaches.

NEVER WOULD I CAUSE MARITAL STRIFE. i am super comfy on floors. we need to get our shit more together before we even start looking at Oregon and LA and easy drive shtuff. you cute silly billy.
