Hi, I'm Moose (not to be confused with moose23, didn't realise until after registration there was another moose on the board!).
I'm an amateur pedal cloner/builder & guitar modifier from the UK, with about 10 years experience playing guitar and bass and five years tinkering experience.
Big fan of dirt/distortion pedals, plus just all out weird ones (next build after my current projects is the clari-not).
Musicwise I'm a massive fan of punk firstly, but generally listen to whatever
Currently the album I'm listening to the most is "Once More 'Round The Sun" by Mastodon.
Playing wise, I tend to mix between solid riffs, melodic chords, and ambient/experimental.
I would recommend to anyone to try a volume-swell reverb before a distortion/OD. The sound you get is almost like a melodic white noise swell, it's the owl's bowels.

Hi, I'm new to the board. I found this place when I was reading up on Earthquaker pedals (ended up getting an Organizer).
Anyway I've played heavy music most of my life. I'm mainly a bassist but I do play guitar and keyboard too (not nearly as well as I'd like lol).
I'm currently playing in:
- a black metal band
http://www.reverbnation.com/dimentianon
- and a more traditional doom band w/ melodic vocals (just joined this one so that's not me on these songs)
http://www.reverbnation.com/secondgrave
I have terrible Gear Acquisition Syndrome and I just bought a used Carvin B2000 b/c I've had a miserable week at work.

Hello all, jjjusten here
41, new father to an 11 month old boy named Michael, old father to a 5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog named Henry. Wife, house, etc. located in the twin cities in Minnesota.
I own Eclipse Music in West Saint Paul, which is a ultra pedal focused shop thanks to its ultra pedal obsessed owner, but I promise not to go all spam bot nightmare on you all. Signed up years ago, forgot to actually follow up but I'll be better this time around.
Rolling through the line specific threads it looks like I already know some of you (you know who you are) so hi.

Hi, my name is Dave.
I actually started an account here a long time ago, but forgot about it.
I was reminded of this place when a guy I sold a guitar to(skullservant) mentioned it.
Anyway, I make pedals:

I play in a band:

Hey my name is Robb Garza and I've been living in Nashville, Tn. For the past 2 years. I like playing doom/stoner/sludge shit like eyehategod, electric wizard, sleep, outlaw order and sometimes I just drone out and get ambient. My setup is not that great considering I have a family I support with a stay at home mom so buying equipment is really hard and rare. It seems as if nobody here in Nashville plays the kind of shit I play. Sometimes I find a sunn amp on Craigslist, but when I do, I don't have enough money to afford it. I just saw a coliseum bass a couple of days ago for 400 bucks and I wish I could get it. I also have a son that is autistic and has sensory issues so I mainly play out of my roland micro cube and it's tough. I'm trying to find a band so I can play my half stack but all I've come across are flakes....
Anyway, I've been enjoying looking at pics of people's rigs and it gives me drive to find a way to make something happen. I have a randall sustainer 140 I bought for 100 bucks and a laney 4x12 I traded for a 1x12 I had. I want to sell the head and invest in a sunn amp but no one is buying it, or even inquiring. So I'll just have to be patient.
So yeah, that's me. Maybe someone here is from Nashville that is looking to jam.
Doom on...

Greeting, my first post!
Was a long time HCFX poster, I also posted at TGP but was banned cause that place is as strict as some current and old Fascist regimes.
I'm 29, been playing guitar since I was 12. Enjoy building/modding pedals. Synths, noise. crazy music, coffee, etc.
