hahaha it happens! If it gets to the point where we are each running stereo rigs then we're gonna have to turn my garage into a soundproofed practice space. Which is ultimately a goal anyways, just a long term goal.....

On the 2x18's, it might be better to run two stacks like we have now but with an 8x10 on top of a 2x18 for each side so you get full frequency range for each side. And eventually we will follow through with the converted 8x10 into 2x18 idea, science be damned it will work!!!!!!
Yes, yes it will. If not, it'll become a construction project because that sounds like the perfect cab

It won't be "perfect" by talkbass standards, but it will be perfect by our standards which is all that matters!!!!

Of course, that will mean more cabs are available for Band #2
If it was me... For live use I'd pull the two Sunn 2x12's for Band #2 use and put the sarcophocab and the GK on the outsides (cause their roughly the same size and shape right?) with the 4x12 in middle. :doom:

Agreed, those two stacked sideways would be a killer little gigging rig.

Been contemplating having a second 2x12 built for under the current one that I have and loading it with Delta Pro 12a's. These midrange speakers that I have loaded in this current cab have plenty of mids and highs, but I want to get some thump with the 50w Verellen. I really have no use or need for a second 2x12 though, and probably won't...

The Sunn sonaro 1x15 sounded great with the stock speaker, but i changed it to a Big Ben so i could safely put more power thru it

I posted my rig a few pages back, but since were all talking about the future...

My plan, as of now, is to get a 4 ohm 18 for the folded 18 to run with my evm 215 and my Dunwich DI and Super Festival 800 slave, which works now! And then make a sealed 218 and put my 70s PA 18s that I love in. That will be powered by a Butcher maybe, or maybe some Peavey tube combo, that's the "treble" side of the rig, 18s for treble...fuck yeah, those old PA 18s break up so good. The Vulcan will stay through the 218+210, that combo wil likely never change. So my full rig, for my eventual two piece would be 518s, 215s, 210s, and maybe some 12s or more 10s in there depending if I go the combo route. Once that happens I'm definitely going to need to get rid of some other stuff like the Windsor half stack and the 118 cab I'll be making empty and maybe even some of my SS Peavey collection, since I have the Vulcan and a Festival series amps which are the kings of SS Peavey. Room in the DOOM bunker is going to starting to get a bit tight since I want to get a small drum kit for jamming with friends.

My bass rig for VEGA is now just 2 cabs with the Festival up and running...Vulcan through the 218+210 and Dunwich/Festival through the 215. The Festival has enough watts to push that cab to its sweet spot. I'm glad I was able to down size a bit, cause my guitar player has 4 cabs so loading and hauling while be a bit easiler.

Here's the VEGA backline.

That may be what happens. I might even strip the gk cab and take a router to it so they match appearance or at least theme. Silly and pointless, yes, but lets be honest we like our shit to look cool.
I agree with your Idea to have the 2x18's paired with 8x10's on each side. I'd put the 10's on top on one side and on the bottom on the other but other than that. perfect plan is perfect.
