hurm. HURM. i don't really dig on bass solo stuff, but Jean (ElevenStrings) does some interesting stuff. he's doing a gig tonight in Berkeley supporting Michael Manring. i think there are two other solo bass acts before Le Jean? going to go check that out after practice tonight. WOOOOOOOOO.

well Jean was amazing. Manring is insanely impressive, it's just not my thing. solo bass stuff kinda runs together for me after awhile. lol. it's SUPER humbling to see someone that much better than i'll ever be.

buuuuuut.... Jean's stuff was more interesting to me 'cause it was songs with structure. and it was very cool to see one of the best bass players around jam out, but it did feel like watching someone at home playing just for fun.

lol. since both of them were doing stuff i'll never be able to touch, i'm way more into the scary impressive skeelz that are fun to listen to.

was way more fun than i thought an All Bass Player Show would be.
