Clearly Verellen needs to dumb down his schtick.

No way, to makes perfect sense! Haha. I've never ever seen an amp with dual outputs that labels the cabs impedance, only the total impedance.

Seriously?

I feel like all the heads I've ever used have speaker outs that are labelled for the ohmage of the speaker cab.

My orange just has a total ohm selector, though, and that's what I've been using since I sold my Sovtek.

Does anyone have a decent shot of the back of a Laney GH100/GH50? They clearly labeled the way cabs should be plugged in by ohmage and they got it down pat.

Boom. Labeled exactly like AxAxSxS has it.

I've never seen an amp with labels for cabs, granted I've never owned an Orange. But every amp I've had is labeled for total impedance.

A total load selector switch would be a better way to have done this.

I will report back when I get a definitive answer, or of that doesn't happen before I get to impatient, open it up and look.

I've seen both done, mainly I've seen output sections with a selector labeled for total impedance and individual jacks labeled for the load of the cab being plugged into it. But everybody does things differently, and nobody wants to be like anyone else.

I think it's fine the way it is. You and I saw it as Ben mentioned, plug in and turn up!!

Wait, I thought this was what we were saying? I am so done with impedance

That laney labeling is nice. Puts it all right about my intelligence level  I might mask and paint something similar on there once I am 100% certain that is how it is so it's less confusing in case someone is "helping" me set up.

Nah I got thrown off by the using 2 4ohm cabs comment....

two simple silver sharpie \'s inbetween the pairs would have made things so much easier to understand
