neat color. YUMMY.
huh. so, talked to Mssr. Deville at Camp Black about a Gilamondo phaser modded to do manual sweeps via an expression pedal. they must have had a slow day or trusted that i was gonna pay them by Friday 'cause after i got them the monies this 'morn he emailed me that it was done and heading out the door tomorrow.
seems like a very chill, easy to work with dood. it'll have to be mad impressive to know Senor Throaty Monster Faye Sing off of my board, but it might just do.
WOOOOOO.

the Sweeper sounded good, but for some reason i never had a huge range with it and didn't totally click with it. i'm not a huge phaser guy, and i use the Faye more as a weirdly voiced sweepable filter, almost like a filter with a tiny touch of formant?
the demo sounded a lot like what i hear clean in the Faye, so... yah. worth a shot.
lol. also, it was very nice of BEZFX to do a box for me so the sweeper wasn't housed in an expression pedal, but it was the same size as the Faye. not much gain switching to it even if it sounded like the Faye.
guh. my board is a tad tighter than i want it. more space between pedz GOOD.

I don't want to get Brian in trouble here, but he actually sent out a Super Puzzle before I fully paid for it. I must have pre-ordered it and put down the 10 or 20% deposit, and before I had the chance to fill out the remainder he shipped it to Ireland and surprised me with it. As soon as I picked it up from the Post-Office, and after trying to guess what it was since I hadn't bought anything, I of course PayPal'ed the remaining money. I thought that was really awesome of him. To trust your customer base is to have found true contentment in your business. To feel secure with your fans is to find true happiness and success. I really admired that.

yah. we'd talked about this mod, he said they didn't have an option for custom work on their site's order page yet, so he could send me an invoice. i asked him please to, but that i would have to wait until some stuff cleared, hopefully by Friday. i really get the feel that they went ahead and modded one out, maybe just 'cause they're awesome and trusted i'd buy it, maybe to get some extra time in to make sure it worked well (also awesome).... whatever the reason, i'm so far super happy with dealing with them and i haven't even received the pedal yet.
lol. after the....... other debacle.... on the last thing i ordered from a company i'd never worked with before, it's so nice and happy making to just feel gooooooood about things.
also, this order is really just an underhanded trick on myself. they have that competition that ends first of July for the free Super Moon. i'm REALLY interested in that bugger. and.... ordering a pedal and a t-shirt gets me 2 entries in it.
but. and here's the underhanded thing. i NEVER win these things. never never never never NEVER. and that's ok. because i know that my (pseudo since i KNOW I'M NOT GOING TO WIN) disappointment with not getting one? ONLY WAY TO ASSUAGE THAT IS TO ORDER ONE. POOR, POOR ME.

I've never won anything in my life either, apart from a pair of football gloves when I was 8 or 9. Good luck in the competition mate! Mr. Black are pretty awesome. I trust Jack. His girlfriend looks a bit shady though.

i mean, that songify version is hella funny, but he seems like just a genuinely good person. he's told people he doesn't want all the media attention, he donated a bunch of money he got to the grrL that got kidnapped. i think people are trying to bring up his past arrests, and i don't know a lot about that, but if he was in jail and did his time, that's behind him.
plus, his 911 call and interviews are AWESOME.

Anyone with a balanced sensibility to them can guarantee that many of those incarcerated, either presently or in the past, were there not because they're bad people but because of desperation and simple imperfection of humanity as a whole. And there are people living free in the world who are closet-racists, bigots, publicly homophobic, who are bad people at the core. Their heart is evil. That sounds rather dramatic, but I have nothing against those that make mistakes. I didn't know the guy was in prison before, but like you, it doesn't change my opinion of him. He seems like a good person, just someone who was dealt a few bad hands.

f'realz. there's some stuff that i think is unforgiveable. rape, murder, hitting women 99% of the time.... but like you said. you have to look at where someone's from and what they were in for and who they are.
our system makes it WAY too easy to get charged for things and let the courts sort it out. if you can't afford a good laywer you're at way greater risk of doing time.
i know people that have been inside that are good people. i know people that have never had even a smell of jail time and they're fucking EVIL. i try to go on a person to person basis y'know.
I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT DRUMS. BUT MY DRUMMER JUST GOT THIS NEW SET RECENTLY. IT'S PRETTY AND HE SEEMS REALLY HAPPY WITH IT.
