i love her, and i love her voice, but like with Tori Amos or Regina Spektor i have to be really in the mello time moods to sit and listen to the really slow almost acapella tracks they have. Bjork's had 2 albums that were mostly all meh, i don't know how well the first one holds up if you're not a melting fanboy with huge emotional associations, but Post, Homogenics, Vespertine, and Biophilia have some awesome songs on them.

Medulla is probably the least accessible one she did and Volta had the lowest Yummy to Meh track ratio?

but. you know. i love that she just does what's important to her. Medulla was a sort of concept thing where it was all built out of vocal samples. great idea... not... the most fun to listen to results. some cheese.

Sugarcubes is awful. because it's good. and fun to listen to. and Bjork is adorable and meow pa pow and everything.

and then that that fucking guy. that FUCKING GUY. starts "singing". and ruins everything ever.

Spinnah - i mean, it's an optical illusion based on how a silhouette 2d image has no depth and there's not enough point of reference to truly tell which way it's spinning.... but if you stare at the left one with the marks going CW for at least a rotation then watch the middle one, middle is going CW. then stare at the CCW right one for at least one rotation then back to the middle 'un, she's now spinning CCW.

i know. he's like Fred from the B-52s (who i like), only totally lacking in queer charm and with the smarm factor, er, cubed.

on the other hand, Einar DID release the first Sigur Ros album, so i'll give him a little slack...just not in my ears.

yeah. he may be a great musician or producer.... but he just takes an audio shit on every track he "sings" on. one so horrific the smell covers everything.
