That thing is kinda cool in a terrible 80s way.

Just bought a 2-loop TB looper on a whim, I get really sick of pressing loads of pedals quickly when I want to switch sounds and stuff so this will be awesome.

Its the neck I would be after for that bass. When I first started playing I bought a couple composite necks. All of them felt really damn good.

I am also reading that modulus is no longer producing?

WTF.

Disarm D'arcy wrote:Oh right, that too. I had the same issue with the radius. I guess I remembered the relic thing more accurately as it sounded dumb to me. Just finish the guitar, I'll spare you the banging it on the wall part. I'm clumsy enough to do it myself. :idk:

That's what I wanted to do, finding a MIJ one, at first. It turned out to be rather impossible or too close in price to the AVRI when factoring in import fees/customs and S&H. Plus the AVRI came with a case which decreased the difference as well. 1200 euros for a used MIJ bought online in Japan, 1600 euros for a brand new AVRI with case in the finish and fretboard material of my choice which I could bring back to the shop if I wasn't satisfied with it... It was easy. Import duties in France are about 25% of the sales price including S&H (VAT is 19,6%), it makes you want to buy within the EU - and I'm fine with it, once you go French, you never go back :!!!:

Where, when and for how much did you find yours ?

The custom calibrated set was well worth it, yes. ;)

I actually spoke to Fano about this. I really wanted a cheaper alternative to the RB6, one of the coolest looking guitars around. But they said it would actually cost more to offer a clean finish. I guess it makes sense since they might have to layer more coats on and be more careful with it if they were finishing it clean. Or maybe they have a very specific and quick—and thus more affordable—way of finishing their guitars and to deviate from that would cost extra.

I actually bought an already imported one from a guy on Music Radar. I think I paid around €600 in the end, considering conversion rates and shipping costs. It'll cost closer to €1000 for it to be where I want it, but I won't be able to sell it for that, so I need to be sure upgrading it is what I want and I'm going to dig the guitar enough to keep it permanently. The second-hand market is really suffering at the moment. In Ireland it's almost impossible to sell gear for a reasonable price. It doesn't help that I live rural as well.

I have a Wren and Cuff the Caprid headed my way and I'm simultaneously jubilant and a little scared. Since I bought my first guitar, I've wanted a vintage Big Muff and this is as close as I've come. Now that I have the close approximations of my dream rig in place (Reverend Slingshot Jr., the Caprid, Sunn Sonic 1), I'm having existential angst. Will this finally make me stop looking for noise in all the wrong places? I would settle down if I could settle down.

Out: SS/BS Mini, Arion SAD-1 Delay, and EHX Pog2
Hopefully outgoing soon: EVH Phase 90 and Mooer Shimverb

Eventually incoming: a shortscale bass of some sort, probably a Mustang Bass.

Might sell my other bass and a guitar as well... I like all this downsizing.

Reverend guitars ftw.

Yes! I got mine for fairly cheap before the American made ones evaporated. I love my Slingshot Jr. with a devotion that borders on creepy.

Want a Sock Monkey 18 in a 1x12 combo in this colour combination... have too many amps... the Matamp First Lady might have to go to pave the way.

It's Amethyst and Fawn. Sexay as hell and sounds fucking goooooood on the Musictoyz demos. I played the 10" version at 555 Music and really dug it. Wished they'd release a 1x12 back then and not only did they do that they did one better and made it 18watts which I seem to prefer the 15-20watt combos. Would be perfect compliment to my Swart AST which is a lot cleaner especially since I put the 12ay7 I put in there.

Jealous. I'm guessing that's the 10/12watt version? Something about purple is just soooooo right. My Matamp is the same but it sounds too much like my AST with both of them being 6v6. Needing some EL84 love (or it could just be the GAS talking). Univalve, if you see this, let me know your thoughts on it after a month with that hottie! I'm itchin' for the combo variant :snax:
