The whole time through I was thinking that if I didn't see Spider-Gwen, I'd be disappointed. Then I wasn't disappointed. I hadn't heard of it before but it looks great.
Let us all pray for Spider-Ham to make an appearance...

I really liked the first one. It still had Edgar Wright's stink all over the script which set it apart from the somewhat desperate knockoff Whedon stuff in the other films

i mean, yah. pleaaaaase do something new. but the first was okay, kinda felt predictable and trying to be funny too hard, had some good bits. the second was..... i dunno. one of the least engaging things i've seen in a lonnnnng time?

DC needs to understand that half it’s characters are goofy as shit, and you can’t just try and ape the “gritty” atmosphere of the Nolan Batman films, but with inferior writing and directing.

Aqua man has maaaaaaybe a better grasp on this than previous films? Maybe?

That's why I can't help but roll my eyes in reaction to Arrow.
Flash understood it in the first season or two, but then they just threw that out the window to make him almost as brooding and generally psychotic as Arrow.
The only goofy show DC really has had in recent memory is Powerless, and they canceled that so fast the last 3 episodes didn't even air (also, I bet Alan Tudyk is fucking livid that another show of his was canceled so quickly).
