I don't know why you'd be surprised. Much of the industry is driven by recycled ideas. I mentioned 20 Tube Screamers, but it's probably more like 80-200 active builders selling the TS. Are they not competing with Ibanez? You've probably got 20-40 Rats out there----are they worried about ProCo? Then you've got the Fuzz Face, Klons, CE-2 imitators, modified EA tremolos, MXR D+----are all those builders not competing with other established companies? Why would the Echoplex preamp be some flag in the sand, that no one is willing to challenge? Dunlop didn't even invent the circuit.
I dunno. Take under consideration that it's almost the same name as the Dunlop, for obvious reasons (remember that time Thorpy had to change the name of his muff clone because EHX didn't like that he had the word "muff" in the name?), and that it's a circuit that hasn't been cloned a lot.
Also, I'd note that Bill Finnegan has tried to force out everyone that's made a Klone (granted, it hasn't worked on anyone). So, I'd say it's fair to find it kinda surprising.

I don't know that the Finnegan comparison is a fair one. Finnegan practically drops roadblocks in his own way there. :snax:

Probably not the answer you're looking for but you could build a small modular box around the Makenoise Telharmonic and the Swestapol?
good deals are here.

If that's the poor man's Procession, what is the Procession? EHX was doing flanged reverb about 14 years earlier.

That mooer looks more fun to me than the OBNE version. Probably gonna pick one up for my synth stuff. I've found a few of these for sale already too. They announced it months ago.

That feels like an April Fool's Day prank. If one company was going to relaunch the Echorec, I wouldn't have put T-Rex in my top-5 of hopefuls, given that the Replicator was not exactly a flawless launch. ---Part of me is excited by this news, and part of me is thinking it will come up short. Fingers crossed...

Speaking of multi-head delays, this Echotopia from Crazy Tube Circuits looks like it might be simulating 4 heads. If I didn't have a Boonar already, I'd probably be pretty excited about this.

File under the oddities / intriguingly whimsical but impractical section. Percussa has teased a new rendering of their controller for their AudioCubes system. (the controller allows the user to ditch their laptop) It's called the Synthor System 8, and it's part of a digital modular system.

Oh man I remember when the telharmonic module came out. I learned so much! It is awesome and if I was a Eurorack guy I would get it. Strange Rules should get one ha-ha! You probably did not not notice but this is the second time you recommended me a Make Noise product! They just have all the answers (I'm not being coy. I watch their videos like 13 year old me watched VH1 classic).

Anyway, really trying to focus on being just a pedal guy. I am starting to lose interest in emulating synths. I'm really into tape music, tape loop music which is good cause I already own like a million glitchy delays...so no need for a reel to reel (I can't find one for cheap). I do have point here regarding NAMM. Apparently, the FUCK Overdrive was modeled after William Basinski's Disentigration Loops. So if the CHASE BLISS Overdrive does something "similar" I am sure I will acquire.

Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!
